"I love March!" - Tom Izzo
If not for the statute of limitations, that 1989 NC would also be vacated. I've always wondered just how much "additional" cheating SCum did during the entirety of the Bo/Canham, Orr/Frieder/Fisher years?
Kind of like UofM benefiting from MSU's football probation in the late 1970s?
Your school benefited from our mishaps and we benefited from yours. Our down years never stopped your "Michigan Men" from bragging/gloating about your victories over MSU during that time.
Izzo won because he is a one of the best coaches in college basketball. Your school cheated for years and FINALLY got caught and then your school made REALLY bad HC hires---kind of like MSU hiring Bobby Williams and JLS consecutively. Time for your fanbase to deal with the fact that you guys were bad for cheating/bad hires and that Izzo making MSU a borderline Elite BBall program had little to do with UofM being bad.

If you can do a half-assed job of anything, you're a one-eyed man in a kingdom of the blind.

Bo and football, were not exactly cherubs back then...

Well...I always kind of wondered why they haven't had a losing season since before Bo arrived. I always attributed it to the Michigan brand recognition (aka...the "Michigan difference"...perhaps?), and just some extraordinary "good luck." Could I have been...wrong all these years?
Things that make you go...hmmmmm.
They also neglect to mention that a huge portion of MSUs early, successful, rosters weren't even players that had Michigan offers. This whole "you thrived cuz we were down" line of bs might've held water if every single member of our roster, or at least an overwhelming majority, were Michigan targets. UM never had anything to do with the recruitments of Antonio Smith, Morris Peterson, Andre Hutson, AJ Granger, David Thomas etc..
"losing Caleb Benenoch is a blow that Dantonio will never recover from. Izzo has lost it as well. Hoke and Beilein own the state."
