I love the duality that UM is able to pull off with a straight face:
They are the self-proclaimed moral compass of the college athletic world...have cheated like no other.
They'd have you believe that they are just like Stanford, their players have to qualify for school independent of athletics...except that isn't true.
They don't have "football degrees"...they just have classes that are for football players, that don't actually have class times, that regular students may not partake in.
They have significantly higher standards than other schools for criminals playing on the field...because that one time they sat out a felon for a game that they were going to get blown out in anyway.
They are continually outraged that OSU got a slap on the wrist for improper benefits and failure to report...yet what happened at UM completely dwarfs what OSU did in every single way, shape, and form. Heck, Charles Woodson alone probably out-did OSU, let alone Ed Martin.
HOW DARE OSU CELEBRATE AND LAUD THEIR CHEATERS!!!!!!!!!1111!!!!!!
They are above the fray and/or being petty, they leave that for that other school "Ohio."
The best part is that they can't even comprehend, fathom, or grasp the irony.
I find it to be quite hilarious.
Do any members of the MSU athletic department refer to them as scUM? No. So until it happens shut up and go back to the walvy board,
On what basis? If Michigan isn't good, what is MSU?
That's the thing that gets me, but the whole concept is dumb. I don't get it. It's more of a diss to Ohio, acting like it doesn't even exist, than Ohio State, and I actually cringe whenever a Michigan fan says it. Bad look, bro.
When you hear Dantonio, Izzo, Hollis or our PA announcer call you SCum check back in. Otherwise STFU SCumbag.

It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Spartan!!!!
How about when your coach does it?
"We do it because they do it" is the very definition of juvenile. It'd be nice if the "leaders and best" took the high road for once in their lives.
What fun would that be???
Does the UM brass refer to 'Ohio' as 'Ohio State?'
Only a little bit?
I think the way they justify it is that Ohio is Ohio University and Ohio State is just Ohio. It. Is. So. Stupid.
No, but the Ohio State brass fought for the right to call themselves "Ohio", so I don't really understand why people get mad about this lol. They trademarked Ohio and now it is a diss? Sounds like a bunch of idiots getting worked up over nothing to me...
"On Dec. 16, Ohio State University filed a petition with the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office to cancel Ohio University's trademark of "Ohio." The trademark, which was granted by the federal trademark office in 1995, applies to what is called a "secondary use" -- a use limited to university athletic events, entertainment and apparel."
