No clue, but I do know I hadn't heard about the launch of Google Fiber until I started weighing job opportunities with one being in KC, which is where the first launch is. One giga data speed sounds pretty awesome.
Eh, the RCMB would still crash.

It's going to be a shame that we play half the original 10 schools only twice per decade.
The conference division should be aligned "New" and "Old" divisions and we give the New Division Wisconsin.
Technically, we're not one of the original 10 schools.
I agree on Mizzou, but Cuse is a waste. Rutgers is 3X the add that Cuse would have been.
That works out well, b/c wusconsin fans think football was invented in 1990, anyway.
Wisconsin was an original member and was in the conference for fifty plus years before MSU came on the scene.

This deserves to be nominated for POTY, but I'll never remember.

No one cares
Haters gonna hate!
Delaney and Murdoch are going to parlay the BTN and the Royals cable to get into every home on the prairie.
We're not talking about "Watering down" here. We're talking about $140 million or more to the BTN with only Rutgers and Md. Keep em coming. Back up the trucks for the piles of $$$$.
Nίκη για MSU
People complaining about watering down the conference only compare it to what it is right now. What if the move to 16-team superconferences is inevitable, and we wind up picking at leftovers like Louisville and WVU b/c we weren't pro-active? This is an academic conference first and foremost. I'd much rather my degree keep its value than go searching for stud football programs, (of which there aren't any available, anyway). We've got enough tough games on our schedule. I say a hearty welcome to our new doormat friends out east.
The return of frontbutt to Spartan Stadium.
Delany will only pick the biggest TV markets left. UL and WVU will never get the call.
My point is that if we wait, there might not be any big markets left. Much better to be pro-active.
Missouri would have been a good get...plus they are in the Midwest even? Doesn't geographic location mean anything?
Do we really want to play the TarHeels in basketball twice a year? Our record is something like 3-12....
I firmly believe that we could still pull Mizzou if we want them.
The B1G has the best TV arrangement with the fact that they own 49% of their conference network and the best academic consortium.
The Pac-12 will possibly be comparable with the Pac-12 network eventually, but I think being on the East coast puts us in much better timezones as far as population goes (half the US lives east of the Mississippi alone).
The fact remains, being in the SEC doesn't change the equation for Mizzou. They're better off in the SEC than they were in the Big 12, but that doesn't mean that the B1G isn't the best game in town.
it shouldn't mean anything...maryland and rutgers may be "meh" but Mizzou is worse than them. If the B1G wanted Mizzou, they would have been members loooooong time ago.
Hondo is saying the same thing.
Spartan Nation has been at the front of the B1G expansion talk and information since late 2008. Today we continue to take that lead. We have learned for the first ...
If UNC gets an invite it will be invited first and I fully expect ND to get one last shot before Kansas is offered a spot. I doubt they take it but they'll have one last shot i would guess.
Let's slow down. The Omaha Herald? Oh and Hondo says it too? Let me know when a real source is involved. I'm not saying it's false but I'll believe it when I see it at this point. How many stories have we heard about expansion that were totally false yet provoked a ton of discussion on here.
And yet after all that speculation Maryland is in our conference, which no one saw coming until it happened.
Bingo. If the B1G wanted Mizzou, they'd already be a member. When Delany announced a couple years ago that the B1G was looking at expanding, Mizzou had a press release out the next day saying they hadn't been contacted by the B1G, but they would be interested if the B1G offered.
Which was the polite way of jumping up and down yelling "pick me, pick me, pick me!"
Mizzou didn't bring anything to the table that Nebraska didn't bring.
