Is Dan Roushar.
Sorry couldn't resist. Just a little michael Jordan -Dean smith humor.
cousins has 20+ rushing yards this game. I dont think he ever even got 20 yards rushing in a whole season last year.

It really was nice to see how much Cousins has improved since being in the NFL. His mechanics are so much better. He also has much better pocket awareness, too...despite the skittishly thrown intentional grounding pass where he thought he was getting hit.
It's like night and day for Kirk... Good for him!
You're an idiot, clearly you never watched much of him. I remember a handful of runs by cousins off the top of my head, starting with a couple big scrambles in last years bowl game vs Georgia.

FTR the only reason Roushar is still the OC is because of Cousins. Without Kirk, Roushar would have been fired. Saved Roushars ass all season long.
Roushar is part of a coaching staff that took a 2-star MAC-level QB and prepared him for success in the NFL. So there's that, too.
You are not a smart person.

He also had a huge one against UM in 2009 iirc.
The credit goes to Treadwell...Roushar didn't do much to develop the players. We are seeing how bad he really is now that Treadwell's starters are out of the system.
yup, he was our leading rusher that game. He also had a 20+ yard run against Georgia on the final drive of regulation to put us in scoring position.

The 22 yards Cousins had this game would have been the third highest total of his senior season behind the game @Northwestern (25) and the bowl game vs. Georgia (23)
thanks for killing next year so soon
Funny I thought Warner was the QB coach.
And how about '14 when the whole offense is new starters except the RB? Yikes.
Or you could say that, since we saw the offense do very well with Cousins and his receiver corps - under two different coordinators - we are seeing how difficult it is to break in a completely new passing game.
Cousins game reminds me a lot of Shane Falcos when he played QB for Washington as a replacement player.

Is that with sacks added in to the equation?
This thread was started as a joke. I don't really think Roushar being his OC did much for him one way or another last year.
He was a treadwell product and he had a lot of leeway last year to audible and I thought he played well.
Not sure if Roushar did much to help Cousins though either which a potential problem.
He is an NFL QB for sure although I guess since he is playing in the NFL that kind of goes without saying... I could tell in the CMU game in 2009 (which MSU lost) he was the most talented qb MSU has had in a while.
So when exactly did Cousins piss in your Cheerios? The moment when you realized Nichol would never been the starter, I'm guessing?
God forbid facts get spoken around here. As great as Kirk was here he had some flaws that needed improvement for him to be successful at the next level. Namely pocket presence and mechanics, in particular throwing off the back foot. Those areas have both shown improvement. He has all the tools to he a successful NFL QB but he had to correct some flaws to do so.

It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Spartan!!!!
Yes. His senior season low was -37
Yea, but Falco also had that Sugar Bowl disaster. That game was ridiculous...
Plus the Rock Me Amadeus disaster.
You suck at reading.
I am talking up cousins big time. The guy is a very good quarterback and he is so much more improved as a player. He was a completely different player out there today. He moved around the pocket so very well and his mechanics were so pure.
Kyle Shanahan deserves a lot of credit as well, because RG3 is also a different qb from who he was at Baylor. Shanahan is the next great thing and he will be the next young coaching star to rise up. He got not one, but two rookie quarterbacks to make a name for themselves in the league.
Yeah, night and day. He was so shitty here that he was only the best quarterback MSU has ever had. So there's that I guess.
I think if Treadwell was the OC, Kirk wouldn't be lower than a 2nd round pick. Roushar sucks, no matter the personnel. Diatracted by the Dexter finale, wow Jaime is hot!
