It reminds me of a few years ago when Rich Rod was "the guy" for every opening and I thought "well, that will be interesting to see that offense with the best recruits in the country." (If you remember, he almost went to Alabama and, instead, went with Michigan, with Saban ending up at 'Bama. Think 'Bama fans are happy with that decision?) Rich Rod's offense, of course, didn't work at Michigan. I'm leaning towards something similar happening with Kelly in the NFL.
They would be the best bet but even Vick is getting old. Can he run an offense that speed for an entire game?
They would probably be the only team right now in the league that would be able to offer him that option with an opening right now. Eagles have some very young fast players. McCoy is a fast running back that fits really well in a speed/spread system. They have Deshawn Jackson and Macklin who are extremely fast recievers. Vick would need to be healthy.
Not sure why teams don't go for two when they are down by 22 and score a touchdown. Second time I've seen a team kick the extra point in that situation in the last couple of weeks.
You need three touchdowns and one 2 point conversion. If you go for it on the first touchdown and fail, you are down 16 and still have a chance to get two more 2 point conversions to tie it. But if you wait to go for 2 and fail, you are shit out of luck and need a 4th score.
Tom Brady can, so Vick probably can. Of course, Vick can't stay healthy.
Vick isn't smart enough to handle a spread.
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
This game sucks...

And Colin Klein was a Heisman finalist.
I don't think NE offense is as fast as Oregon's
The question was whether he could run a hurry up offense for a whole game. He probably can.
You know what the odds would be that KSU stops Oregon twice, scores 2 TD's and gets 2- 2 point conversions?
Being down 15 means you only need 1- 2 point conversion
Rogue Leader= Obese coward who didn't attend MSU and has no college degree
I agree with this. I just don't think you can replicate this system in the NFL. He would almost have to be a GM that has control of drafting players and the ability to change personnel in order to run this system. I am sure if he is a offensive genious..he can probably make it work. Eagles are probably the only team that might work for Chip Kelly. It would be perfect for Philadelphia. They get another overweight offensive genious that runs a "gimick" offense.
Oregon should have kept it on the ground. Could have killed another 45 seconds or so; if KSU gets the ball back, down 8, with 58 seconds to go, Oregon is going to wish they had just done the simple thing and run it.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
You obviously don't get it either.
I don't think it is either, but it is fast and they've incorporated aspects of Kelly's hurry up offense.
Philly fans are high on Nick Foles right now. They want a coach that can develop Foles into a starter. They want to dump Vick. Some rumors are flying aroudn that Vick might end up wherever Reid goes. Based on the "breaking news" on ESPN just now it looks like Reid is going to KC. If that is the case...Vick could end up going there.
Possibly, assuming the delusional Iggles fans don't boo him out of town immediately for not winning the Super Bowl his first year.
Where is the sense of urgency KState?
3rd and 9. KSU isn't throwing it down field.
Yeah no kidding. Have you seen Colin Klein's wife? I'd want to hurry up and get this game over with too.
Well, barring a TO, this one's over.
What I'm wondering is what K-State is going to do when Snyder retires again?
Take a nose dive
All these BCS games suck..so far the best bowl game has been our game and the Michigan game against South Carolina. Everything else has sucked.
I would have loved to see Florida vs. Oregon and KState vs. Louisville
