UPDATE: 22Deuce22 da gawd is right once again...like always. Just like when I correctly predicted Urban Meyer to OSU, Kyrie Irving shitting on us, Evan Turner being 'meh' and the Wolvies winning the B1G in hoops.
I'd rather see ND, Oregon or Bama in that game playing one of each other. Please no K-State. They have zero appeal, no one I care to watch play, no namesake, nothing.
This would be like Minnesota or Arizona or Clemson playing for the Nat'l Title, but probably worse.

You are part of the problem.
You are more concerned with entertainment value and brand names, than with having the most worthy opponents.
You are the reason a 1 loss Alabama and a 2 loss Florida team will play for the National Title
Please be sarcastic. It's this mindset that gets teams like Michigan and Virginia Tech picked ahead of more deserving teams like MSU and K-State. Ever hear about 1999 when K-State finished #3 and went to the ALAMO Bowl? We don't know the pain that brand bullshit can bring like K-State does.
Fact: K-State is the MSU of the Big 12 in multiple ways. Demanding that they meet a higher standard today because they weren't good during the Prohibition Era is EXACTLY what we constantly bitch about.
I love the shit out of K-State, and get a special joy when they kick the teeth in o high and mighty, 'big brand', supposed blue bloods like Nebraska, Texas, or Okie year in and year out.

I for one would much rather have programs blatantly cheating then K-State in the NC game. Oh, and the "prestige" test has screwed us out of BCS bowls the last two years. Sleepy is right, fans like you are the problem
Now with a PhD in Applied Llama Physics...
k-State is more deserving that Bama? C'mon now...
I feel proud being the 5th downvote to this thread
Has K-State lost?
tRCMB - Visit at your own risk of being disgusted.
They played Oklahoma...who has proved to be a meh team. That's the only team they've beaten.
If this thread doesn't reach 300 down votes then I've lost my faith in humanity.
You realize just about everybody outside of the Red Cedar Message Board bubble would say the exact same thing if Michigan State were in the same position, right?
The rise of college football's "middle class" is good for the game. It gets boring to have the same eight or nine superpowers playing for the same prizes over and over again.
Must be a CrazySparty schtick
They've beaten four teams who were in the top 25 at the time of the game (OU, WVU, Texas Tech, Okie State) and still have Texas to go. And again, have they lost yet?
I'll wait for you to say "Notre Dame has beaten Oklahoma at Oklahoma" later in this thread.
Nah, ND hasn't played anyone either but at least they have some athletes and are worth watching.
The message from the human voters to ND is clear: Join a fucking conference.
Notre Dame is very strong in the computers. Human polls are going to cost them. K-State is in way too strong of a position to be passed and Texas is a better opponent right now than USC, which gives ND no help.
And K-State just has the guy that's going to win the Heisman..
Oregon vs KState would be a tv ratings black hole
Michigan State holds a lot more weight than K-State, as someone not from the State of MI, I can assure you of that. K-State is Minnesota, Oregon State, Louisville status.
Did you start watching college football this year?
Alabama has only beaten two teams currently ranked - LSU and UM. It's hardly a resume that will justify jumping an undefeated KSU, Oregon, or ND.
Players play, tough players win.
No dumbass, but I've been watching long enough to know that no one gives a fuck about K-State, and no one ever will. Even the year they beat OU in the Big 12 title game, OU still went to the Nat'l Championship and lost, further proving that K-State holds no weight.
However, I haven't been watching long enough to remember when Minnesota won titles, b/c that was 40 years before I was born.
Down year...this guy is the 2012 Jason White, or Troy Smith. Winning it b/c no one else has wowed.
Anybody who is a fan of college football - and is more than a drive thru fan that depends on ESPN to understand the sport - has a lot of respect for the KSU program and is aware of previous success under Snyder. They are not Louisville or Minny to real fans of the game.
Except for the part where K-State has been to two BCS bowls in the past 15 years and has finished in the Top 20 11 times since 1993 and in the Top 10 six times..
After what K-State has gone through in 1998... they deserve to be in the BCS championship this time around.
