Truth toe? The idea that we should feel warm and fuzzy that the almighty USC would want one of our piss ant coaches is far from truth.
Btw, this season was a complete catastrophe for us, yet we still finished with the same record as USC. Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart aren't coming back on the payroll any time soon.
You misunderstood. It's fantastic with recruits if he stays. Obviously the DC is great when he's that sought after. Thing is, Saban was mentioned for every job that opened in the NFL, and then whined because he couldn't beat um recruiting. Wonder why.
Thing is, unless Narduzzi is named HC-in-waiting, given a huge raise or somehow locked in, D players are going to wonder how long he stays at MSU. For kids who are on the fence they're going where they think their position coach & co-ordinator are likely to be there long term.
My point was MSU didn't replace Treadwell with anything near a star, so there's no reason a D recruit would be confident that the next DC will be one he'd want to play for, IF Narduzzi leaves.
The amount of chicken-little hand-wringing up in this turd of a thread is flat-out embarrassing.
Some of you long-time rational posters went full-retard chicken-shit at the flip of a switch - you know exactly who you are.
A pre-emptive fuck-you to the "get off your soap-box" crowd.
I fully support MD no matter who his OC/DC is. Calling for MD to be fired? Really?
This is why we can't have nice things.
If it was only about money, Narduzzi would be the DC for TAMU right now.
I'm sure the challenge of coaching at an elite program, the program resources, the current and future talent' far outweigh the cost of living adjustment from EL to Los Angeles.
Even if the entire USC is relieved of their duties at the end of next season, Narduzzi would have programs knocking down his door for the chance to hire him. He has built quite the reputation.
In my mind, if he is offered the position he would be crazy not to take it.
I'm not trying to disrepect MSU football here...sorry.
Depends. Wouldn't want to work for that clown Kiffin, and if you have kids it wouldn't be my first choice on where to raise them. That said, they hand you a big enough bag of dough, you have incredible talent at every position and a lot of exposure and you have to at least think about it.
At some point the right offer is going to come along. Based on what happened when Treadwell left, I don't have any expectation that MSU will replace him with someone as good. Maybe Tressell or Barnett would be great DC's, who knows. I do know that they can't afford to take a hit to the D like they took to the O.
But we did replace him with someone in the program, so the kids will know that if Narduzzi leaves he will know the DC already.
That's reassuring a captive audience. The kids who are already on the team have obstacles to leaving, especially if they've already been RS'd. What about the recruits who, even if they know and like Coach Barnett and/or Coach Tressell and think they're great position coaches, have no idea whether they'll be a good, yet alone great, DC?
The phrase "better they one you know than the one you don't" exists for a reason.
The ones who know him are already on the team. What about the recruits who don't know them that well, and have no idea whether they'd be good as DC?
You could say the same thing about a great OC or DC at any program.
You have gone off the deep end with this thought process.
I just ran the equation by a well respected mathematician and he confirmed that 0.6 x 2 = 1.2.
Did you forget where to put the decimal? The mathematician said that's probably where you went wrong when you ran the equation.
He better not be gone...

USC would pay for the buyout.
Pretty solid post.
Don't post poop!
USC forums have always been open to outside fanbases...unfortunately, we were attacked by spambots that completely took over the board, so the network made everyone VIP for a month to try and clean up the problem. They haven't yet, and now it appears that even USC fans without premium access cannot post.
We hope the network does something to fix this mess soon. Please know we enjoy and encourage opposing fans views expressed on our forum.
Since you are unable to post on our forum, I will refrain from further discussion on your site till ours opens again.

My friend codes some bots /automated processes. its pretty hard to knock those out since in most cases they are going through the similar processes as everyone else. I was wondering why we couldnt post over there, but i guess that makes sense.
We miss the interaction, and our boards have little moderation at best..the way we like it. We've had some very cool Spartan fans on the old WeAreSC board, and one found us on this network.
I'll admit that I haven't missed the float fans, they have to be the stupidest people on the face of the planet.
you're awfully defensive.
Second part of your statement, smart guy.
hahaa...nice backtrack there. Dude, just admit that you got the math equation wrong. It's ok, brah...we're all human. We can't be perfect.
I once got this math equation wrong: 5x^-2y^10 over 2x^-1(-3x^-3y^-1)^-2
(Answer: (45/2)x^-7 y^8)
time for capcha codes to post?
maybe Nucky is a spam bot?
Narduzzi is a top DC in a conference that values real defense, and he is a lock for a major conference head-coaching gig in the near future. he would have been a fool to move across the country to take the same job for a school with a shitty (and likely lame-duck) coach in a shitty conference that puts more or less zero value on defense. the TAMU job was 10x a better job than USC less than a year ago.
thank God he has been denying the "rumors".
I think we should take some of these people, and send 'em up to Bear Mountain for a picnic.
What do you mean by major conference? Do you see him getting a head coaching job in the BigTen? SEC? ACC? Pac(howevermanyteamstheyhavenow)? Big12?
