An unnamed source claimed that after an exchange of haymakers, sophomore guard Travis Trice shoved senior center Derrick Nix, who promptly flew back into the hotel lobby wall, resulting in some hotel property damage. By the time police intervened, the argument had escalated into a debate over whether or not Nix was actually pushed into the wall by an out of control offender or whether or not it was a "big-ass flop" as Trice claimed.
well at least now we have a reputable source for the story.
I heard it was Dawson and Payne. May not be true but that's what I heard from a friend who usually is pretty on top of this stuff. Don't know what it was about.
I heard the same from a pretty reliable source. No idea how reliable her source is though.
None of us are handling the Drake Harris news well are we?
Wouldn't it be kindof funny if to keep team unity up and such that all the players (maybe via pre-game war drill or something of that nature) came out with what could be interpreted as minor cuts on the face? Maybe funny is the wrong word, but just because Izzo would know that ppl are gonna be looking for it
Well if there was only minimal damage to the wall, we know it wasn't Nix who got shoved into the thing.
Alright, Rob Parker joke aside, if key players sit out and we lose to fucking Penn State tonight, I will be furious.
Why would they be suspended? Didn't Mateen get in people's faces DURING half time of games?
Please tell me they aren't sleeping with each other's girlfriends again.
Its five o'clock somewhere.
Smith and Cleaves squared off with basically that whole team at one point or another, including each other. Doesn't mean this one isn't different, but this stuff happens on teams.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
Or they all come out with band-aids on their faces.
It never ceases to amaze me what passes for "news" these days.
yeah, that would be better.
everyone on the team should wear band-aids on their face like Nelly tonight. That would be hilarious.
damn it! beat me to it
I hope everyone wears band-aids tonight, maybe on their face or something.
Heard that Payne was a Roushar apologist and Dawson wasn't having none of that shit. Fucking Roushar is ruining our basketball season now too.
The important thing is that Byrd's not going to be suspended, right?
Didn't Mateen and MoPete get into a fight at halftime of the Cuse game in the 00 tourney?
Victors Valiant categorizing this as a BRAWL! I'm sure it is only a matter of time before ski masks are brought up to continue with their fantasy narrative.
Beware the 1990's if you click that link.
Unless one teammate put another in the hospital or they were fighting with other people at the hotel, I have no idea why this is news.
Its only news because it did not happen on the practice court or lockerroom. So yes, its not really news.
Hell if I know. It's Tom Izzo's decision and i'll support whatever he does, but all I am saying is there's a possibility he could discipline somebody.
