He stole talent from some NBA all stars
Thread of the year?
I can explain it - poor competition. Wait until McGary dunks his head through the rim.
You know the dream team?
Well, we're the MEAN TEAM!
tRCMB - Where MSU fans eat their own.
I expected you to say it was the shiner he was sporting courtesy of Dawson.
There's a time and a place for everything and it's called college.
I really would like to ban this schtick, it is horrible. Absolutely craptastic.
bad quality but

Yeah we're the Monstars. M-o-n-.........uh
At least Payne chasing Thomas around today should have him ready for Bergerren and Carrot Top on Tuesday on the perimeter. Their 3's did not fall at Iowa today.
I hope Payne can continue shooting the open 3s effectively. It would be huge is he and App could develop a Kalin/Suton 2 man game.

That game still gives me a boner. Probably the best college basketball game I have ever seen.
Could have thumped him, though, when he let Craft steal the ball from him late in the game. You could see that coming from a mile away.
Only user name that post on that IP is Mitch Know Nothing
It ain't me stoppin' you.
Thank you, Denicos.
I saw AP play in HS and he could hit the mid-range jump shot and the occasional 3-pointer with regularity. He never really developed a consistent inside game in HS because he relied on his athleticism and size inside instead of working on refining his technique in the post.
When he arrived @ MSU as a true Fr. he had suffered a shoulder injury and this hindered the continued development of his jump shot during his Fr. and Soph. seasons. This season he is starting to put it all together; regained his shooting touch, improved inside post game, free throw shooting, playing hard all the time, running the floor, to go along with his tremendous athleticism. He still has the lung issues but he was able to play 17 straight minutes vs. PSU and he played a total of 32 minutes vs. o$u.
AP is the most athletic big man Izzo has ever had along with Delvon Roe, who was hindered by bad knees throughout his MSU career.
Note : Too bad that MSU fans never got to see the Delvon Roe that I saw play in HS. He could run the floor like few other big men I've ever seen, hit the outside jump shot, fierce rebounder who was a quick leaper. The microfracture knee surgeries kept Delvon from having a career in the NBA.
CBD. . . I very much like AP's game, and his enthusiasm is contagious. One thing I didn't understand was why we had him trying to chase Thomas down through screens out at the three point line. He pursued his assignment vigorously, but at this point in his career that was not a good matchup for us. I saw Gary Harris briefly match up with Thomas who is obviously a bigger player, and I liked the way he played Thomas. Not trying to change the subject, but I would like to keep AP a little closer to the basket on defense.
I can't imagine what Roe's career here would have been like if he never had bad knees. I don't know about giving UNC a run in 2009, but I bet they smoke Duke in 2010.
Payne got better and played with MORE energy and also had the fight with Dawson because i called him Dawson in the locker room area at Jenison
and he DID NOT LIKE IT

Yes this was a concern. He was exposed. I didn't understand the Nix/Payne combo on the court when OSU can barely dress a true center.
