I have talked to actual people who actually believe this is a concern and have seen some of the so called "learning channels" with preppers that are also concerned. I have seen lots of sci-fy movies with zombies but never actually considered it a remote possibility compared to pretty much any of the 2012 doomsday scenarios. Am I missing something? Where did this sudden actual paranoia amongst the crazies come from?
oops games starting....thanks
I would guess no
28 days later style? Yeah. Rabis is real dude.

Zombies are not real. This is the dumbest fucking paranoia the world has ever had perpetrated by retarded TV.
Nuclear blast and EMP and fallout are a far more real and possible event.
PS The "preppers" shows are hilarious

I think you might be confusing entertainment with paranoia.
No, next question
Voodoo victims disagree.
I'm very clear on the difference but judging by the number of shows and websites dedicated to the subject it appears many others aren't.
I don't know, but I have the guns and the rounds just in case.
Depends on what you mean by zombie. Do I believe that zombies that can be shot 100 times and not die are possible? Nah. But could some sort of neurotoxin be made that would make people crazy and attack each other on a mass scale? I could see that.
Good thing Jesus didn't bite anyone after he zombified.
Zombies are the perfect bad guy. You can kill any race, gender or age and not piss off anyone.
Doesn't it seem like plate armor, swords, and a castle would pretty much make you zombie proof?
The true terror in a zombie apocalypse isn't the zombies (assuming shamblers, the ones that can only stumble after you). The true terror is what people do when society collapses. Therefore, plate armor isn't effective against guns and would be of limited use.
Wait so people believe it's possible, and aren't just trying to be nerdy/funny?
Yes it can. Science fiction precedes the reality. It's like a crystal ball. I have a nearly completed flux capacitor i am building in my basement now. Heavy SOB, i will need a frackin tractor beam to get it out.
Nothing to see here, move along
Isn't that what tRCMB has become?

Cracked is the worst. Some of the articles are entertaining, but most of the "scientific" ones are just pseudo-dorks trying to sound smart - and half the time they have no idea what they're talking about.
With the increase in mutations of bacteria and viruses, it's something that scientifically can't be ruled out. I'm not talking about "The Walking Dead" type Zombie Apocalypse, but rather an outbreak of a infection that could cause people to act violently or crazy. 28 Days Later is a more realistic example of a genetic experiment that ends of causing a collapse of society. With known diseases like Rabies and Mad Cow, who is to say that those strains couldn't mutate and cause changes in the brain that lead to violent actions. While the chances of it happening are slim, to quote Jeff Goldblum: "Nature finds a way."

It all depends on how popular bath salts become.
So it's tRCMB in a nutshell? And seriously zombies are as big of a threat as an invasion from Mordor... An EMP or nuclear catastrophe however, is a very real possibility.
