UO doesn't make it to the Sweet 16 often, so I have a question about crowd dynamics...
Since we are playing Louisville in Indianapolis, one would think that they would have a decided home court advantage. However since MSU and Duke fans will also be in attendance and presumably rooting for Oregon to pull off the upset, is it possible that Oregon will have a majority crowd behind them?
See you in the Elite Eight!
I'll root for Oregon, but you have to tell us where all of the good bars are for our 2014 football road trip.
I don't know.
If the OP posts tons of Oregon chicks looking hot we will support them, it's that easy.
35,600 posts and counting since 09-09-2002. tRCMB Dead Pool Commissioner.
Tell us about the bars for our coming football game and post Oregon girl picks and tRCMB will rally the Spartans to your side.
We're really pretty simple to please in that regard.
Michigan State beat UofL there a few years back and the place was a sea of red. Indy is only an hour and a half from Louisville. That was their can't miss team of destiny though so Louisville was packing it in. This is a really good Louisville team so they should/will have a big following but it may not be as large.
This is correct.
Also, it will probably happen either way. But this should happen.
The hillbillies will outnumber the other three fan bases combined.
But at least some of the crowd will be wearing green for you (if green is still one of your colors).
I'll be there cheering for Lville. Only because of some moron Oregon fan(s) who came over here telling us how Izzo was gonna leave to coach Oregon when you guys were looking for a coach a few years back. Dude was crazy stupid.

A fan from a school that rarely makes it to the sweet 16 decides to come ask some Spartans what its like. Makes me feel good not gonna lie.
UM fans are too embarrassed to do the same thing.
A decent part of the population will probably be IU fans who thought the Hoosiers would be there. Is IU playing on Thursday or Friday?
Vim -- noun: robust energy and enthusiasm : VITALITY
Depends on which shade of green. Our teams have so many in usage these days.
I read the news today, oh boy .. ..
About a lucky man who made the grade
OP can deliver after work.
1. It would be sweet to see Oregon and MSU playing for a Final4
2. I think the Louisville fans are just crazy enough to dominate the arena no matter what. But I suppose a few Duke and MSU fans will pull hard for the Ducks. I certainly would..it could also be that people just love to hate L'Ville too though.
The Ducks are gonna be rooted for by a lot of people.
There is romance in all of us
The first half, MSU/Duke fans will cheer for exciting plays. Many will not be there at the Oregon/Louisville tip.
If Oregon can keep the game close, in the second half you will feel the crowd get behind the Ducks.
Countdown to Bob pointing out that MSU has been wearing bronze...even though he doesn't care about MSU.
I would guess the crowd will be about 40% Louisville (if not more), 25% MSU and the rest a mixture of Duke (15%) Oregon (5%) and casual fans (15%). The one thing Oregon has going for it is the "underdog" seeding that may sway a few casual fans in thier favor. I'm not sure MSU/Duke are going to fervently cheer for one team or the other but I could see them getting behind Oregon if the game stays competitive at the end.
Does the ELHS girls team ever wear special unis?
25% Spartans is really generous and 40% LVille is really low, IMHO based on past experience. In 09 it was probably 70% LVille. They might not get that many this weekend because their was more uncertainty later in the year as to what region they would end up in, but they will still dominate the arena. It's akin to MSU playing at Ford Field.
Sell me tickets and then i'll root for you
"If you're worried about Wolverine fans, just move to Pasadena. You'll never have to deal with 'em."
Not sure about the girls but the guys have used them before. Back when I was in school at ELHS they were cleaning out some random store rooms and found some old uniforms and warm ups from the early 80s. The guys team for their last game of the season broke out the 80s look and tear away warmups
I didn't realize only teams without solid traditions wear special uniforms. Will you volunteer to be the one to let Duke and Kansas know? You could just tweet Coach K and Bill Self (they coach those teams, FYI). I peg you as the Twitter type.
I think it's possible. Oregon is a program that many people don't have any real issue with. In fact, I think a lot of younger fans like all the innovation and Nike content they roll out so there is some level of admiration there.
Coming in as the underdog, I think UO could see some support in Indy and they could make for a couple interesting matchups. GL to you guys (at least in the first game).
