true, the ones who never play. They do take walk-ons in the Ivy.

Dear West Bracket:
Harvard winning didn't even look that fluky. They didn't hit a bunch of HORSE shots. They controlled play most of the game.
How did anyone see a Final Four team in New Mexico? That is one of the worst teams I have seen this year. They would be lucky to make the tournament if they were in the B10. The mighty MWC 0-3, and they were not even an underdog in any of them.
No excuse for OSU not to make the FF
Rogue Leader= Obese coward who didn't attend MSU and has no college degree
Aren't they all technically walk ons as they don't give out athletic scholarships?
No, no -- he thought it could happen. That's pretty much the same thing.
Well not in that one but i am in the 99th percentile on Espn bracket challenge. How did I know you were going to check that one LOL obsess much.
1-3...Colorado State won. But still not a good performance for the supposed #1 conference.
what did he say? I don't remember him saying anything.
I would say Elite 8. If Ohio State does not make it that far, yeah, massive failure. Yet Gonzaga, while not a great #1, is still not a bad team and could knock off some of the better teams on any given night.
We all saw what Steve Alford brought to the table as a BIG coach.
"losing Caleb Benenoch is a blow that Dantonio will never recover from. Izzo has lost it as well. Hoke and Beilein own the state."
Picked NM as most people did, but to have Flex go down makes the wrong pick somewhat worthwhile.
I read the news today, oh boy .. ..
About a lucky man who made the grade
Oops, that game is over now. Thanks for the correction.
And I am in the 99th percentile on yahoo, so what How many different brackets did you submit, not contests, but different entries? Oh, I had Harvard....in one of my 12 brackets somewhere
no. In the Ivy players are considered when they recruited, get official visits and are given preferential admissions.
He said they changed some entrance requirements to get many of these players into school.
I saw some of New Mexico's conference championship game last weekend. They looked bad then, playing against another team from their crappy conference.
A mediocre team with a terrible coach = an unsurprising early exit.
Also, as someone else said, Amaker seems to be doing a good coaching job with Harvard. Perhaps he's a decent coach who just isn't of the caliber to compete in a top conference.
LOL go punch yourself in the face. Looking back on tRCMB pick em I really didn't take it serious because the prize wasn't that good. I mean c'mon I picked my Albany Danes to beat Duke.ESPN though I am sitting pretty.
Is that a bad thing?
Pretty sure that most of the of the players in this tourney wouldn't have been admitted to their respective schools on academic merit.
I am gravely disappointed. Again you have made me unleash my dogs of war.
That place is perfect for him. His wife is an academic, and he never has to worry about losing too many games.
around the 12 minute mark or so he and Ian Eagle referenced how Harvard had dropped their admissions standards significantly for basketball. They were referencing the rankings of some of the kids there and how they have a top 100 guy from Harvard-Westlake in LA coming next year. The said in the past they wouldn't be letting these kids in but now they can go out and recruit against schools like USC, Colorado, etc. The kid they have coming next year they beat out UCLA, USC and Texas for. They didn't even mention the ridiculous changes in financial aid Harvard has made to basically give every kid a full scholarship.
