I have a week off from work and I need your help. I have some good books to read, some good drinks to drink but I need some movie recommendations. I don't feel like slapstick comedies, explosion fueled action movies and I can't handle any more porn, I have simply worn myself out.
Think along the lines of The Fountain, Synecdoche New York, In Bruges, Black Swan etc etc.

Brady Hoke is fat.
Can't go wrong with 2001 Space Odyssey. Fearless (the Jeff Bridges one, not the kung fu) is a great one.
Knibb High football rules
I haven't seen The Prestige or Fearless, so I'll look at them. Keep 'em coming.

depends...Cronenberg Crash is a masterpiece...the piece of shit that won the oscar a couple of years ago was beyond trash though....just awful.
Lots of really good movies already mentioned. I'll point out Donnie Darko (watch it twice), The Prestige, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind as 3 of my all time favorites.
Primer is another good one.
"I melt with you"
Its available on demand. Just came out but ya gotta pay for it unless you steal it from the internet.
Through some Kurosawa in there too. Seven Samurai, Bad Sleep Well, Drunken Angel, Rashoman, High and Low....just pick one. and Powell/Pressburger....Black Narcissus, 49th Parallel...just pick one. and Ozu, Renoir, and lots and lots of Bergman. It's Christmas, so we always watch the full Fanny and Alexander - you can't go wrong there.
