With the level of premeditation he has shown I would assume he would be at very least somewhat prepared for the snow. I really don;t get how he is advocating gun control while murdering people. He basically believes that due to someone of his background committing these crimes that changes will be made. It's pretty sickening to me honest. I do not believe this guy is insane, just completely misguided and using incredibly wrong logic. It's very unfortunate he decided to kill people. Also ironically he states that severe depression drove him to do the things he is doing while discounting the effect of mental conditions on those who use guns for murder.
I agree...he isn't a completely whacked out guy like the School/Connecticut, Theater/Colorado and Giffords/Arizona shooters. He is making a political statement...both office politics and government politics. We wouldn't be aware of his statement if he wasn't killing people.
I hope the cops take this guy out tonight...
What if he's right?
so this guy is a big Obama supporter? Figures.
Your info is wrong.
His truck was found on fire around 9am Thursday at Big Bear, which is in San Bernadino County and a ski town. At 2:30 it was confirmed to be his truck... They followed his tracks but have said to not a firm lead on his location... This is after half the day was already spent looking for his Nissan Titan.
Soon after they began a manhunt in Big Bear, but this is a resort community so there aren't many permanent residences. Most homes are vacant and they are having to do a thorough search of each vacant home looking for any signs of possible break ins. This is while there is an on going snow storm. The search will take all night.
My personal belief is that he is long gone, and has been since since this morning. Where the car was abandoned is close to a ton parking lots. If he really planned this out, he probably had a second unknown vehicle waiting. At this point he could be anywhere and the only thing the police can do is wait for him to show up somewhere.
I'm blaming the newscast. They did a bad job of relaying the location. They said "he's believed to be currently in San Diego county around Big Bear." I didn't know where Big Bear is until googling just now (only been here a month and haven't ventured outside San Diego proper) so I'm going to say that I was bamboozled and I should be absolved of all wrongdoing .
You could be right about having a second car. Really, who knows where he is currently. I'm just hoping that I don't encounter him.
I know I'm going to get destroyed for this, but I'm kind of sympathizing with this Chris Dorners guy right now.
If you're bored at work you should read his unedited manifesto. It's definitely interesting.

That year, he clashed with a former girlfriend. Dorner, in a June 2006 request for a restraining order, accused her of cyberstalking and harassing him by making intimidating phone calls and posting his name and badge number on the Internet.
Court papers filed by Dorner include an anonymous post on the website dontdatehimgirl.com, labeling him as severely emotionally and mentally disturbed.
"This guy is twisted ... He is super paranoid, always thinking that everyone is out to get him," said the posting.
The post continues: "Anyway be careful because this guy is a police officer ... he will probably think he can get away with anything."
Sounds like PTSD / Hypervigilance. Not far-fetched considering his military background.
But then to report another officer for excessive force...
How the hell did they open fire on the 2 ladies? I'm not sure if they look less like the suspect or the truck looks less like a Nissan Titan.
Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance
If I was that principal that lied about th stolen wallet in 1996 I would be scared as hell. Dude better hide. That manifesto is so bizarre, he hates Trayvon and Zimmerman.
That's a fake.
About what? Killing people?
And Bush Sr. And Huntsman. And the Clinton's. And Colin Powell. This guy is really all over the map.

It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Spartan!!!!
So it looks like the cops have now shot directly into 2 vehicles containing innocent people, not sure how you can mistake 2 women and an elderly white guy for a 300lb black dude... naturally the LAPD will keep all the officers involved out of any serious trouble, starting to see what this dude is talking about!
hmm what does that have to do with it? Just curious. he obviously has some sort of moral code which now he has twisted into thinking that killing people is going to solve whatever issues he is facing.
I read the manifesto. It seems likely that the fellow was screwed by the department for reporting abuse by another officer (kicking a prone suspect). His case was decided by a stacked review board that included the abuser's former partner and he was fired.
Unfortunately, in this case, the fellow is a crazy mo-fo who is going to burn the city down to even the score. There is no way, his actions are justified but that doesn't mean that he wasn't right in his accusations.
It pisses me off, that in so many of these shootings (Columbine comes to mind) the media never spends any time investigating what got these folks so pissed to begin with. All they say is "nothing would have justified their actions." That's true - but something triggered their actions.
I got lots of cop friends....this is scary stuff....
Formally know as SouthFloridaSpartan
Given how twitchy the trigger fingers are, I think he has some kind of big dirt on the LAPD. They obviously want him dead, not arrested.
What made you think San Diego would ever get that much snow?

this. They're willing to shoot at anything that remotely does(doesn't) match the description. This guy knows something that no one on that force wants to come out. Even though he's crazy I tend to have to say his accusations were probably true, they aren't showing much regard for anyone right now. It's going to be tough to explain, of course it won't matter and they'll never have to. Just like they dismissed the guys accusations with a rigged panel. Cops do what they want and often get away with it.
Well, until people start thinking like this. I wonder if there is the possibility of him becoming a folk hero of sorts. If the LAPD is as dirty as he says it is and there seems to be an all out war against them, would others join his side? Would he have safehouses to hideout in? If the public already distrusts the police and they start thinking he is fighting for him, this could get really ugly. Especially if the police keep shooting any car that matches the description of the car he
