Been reading on espn and elsewhere that there are reports that Georgia Tech will announcement on Monday they are moving to the B1G. Apparently, the denials are part of an agreement between the BIG and GT. Places on the net are saying the B1G presidents have already voted them in.
Can anybody confirm?
Fight for the only colors, Green and White!
You're asking Saturday afternoon posters on tRCMB if they can confirm?
If it's on the Internet, you know it's true
When there's smoke, there's fire, but the presidents won't vote them in until the day of the press conference, so I'm sure it's not official yet.
well the presidents wouldn't be voting if they didn't already know they were getting in.
Pretty sure I read that they wouldn't even go to a vote if they knew a school wasn't getting in

This is getting out of hand. Joe Hamilton was a baller.
UVA as well. Bet it.
Rumors have Georgia Tech and Virginia both joining the Big Ten. You might want to add UVA to the thread title.
There are rumors that Georgia Tech and Virginia could join the Big Ten. There have been Big Ten rumors about those two schools for literally years now, but theyve been showing up much more...
NOO I really wanted NC State or UNC or DUKE!! NO!!
Sweet. We will have some great home football schedules only playing OSU, PSU and Wisconsin once a decade.
UNC and Dook will round it out and we will be done. This is so much more about academics than I ever realized. Grant money, sharing resources etc. it could dwarf the BTN money.
This is dumb. The Big Ten has no identity anymore. Thanks, Jim Delany.
Fuck adding Georgia Tech. Don't want teams in the deep South in the B1G.
Ditto. I'll support MSU, but these games vs Rutgers, Maryland, and whoever Delaney will pimp to the B1G I think will decrease fan interest as a whole.
If GT is added, I hope MSU is in their division / pod. Already have some GA recruits, and being able to tell them they will be back there a bunch would probably help
I agree- MSU should push any new alignment eastward bound. I would be willing to sacrifice being in the same division/pod with Michigan if it would allow us to open up recruiting grounds in fresh new areas. This Midwest bent where we tend to pick up the scraps of Michigan, Ohio State, and ND just has not worked.
Where on espn is this?
Nice to see a post from someone who "gets it"! Thanks!!!!!
Would you rather be like the ACC and be torn apart down the road because the conference was not proactive about expansion? Would you rather have the SEC pick all of their prime targets first? This is the new age.
Yeah- the Nebraska move was really about academics.
Atlanta, GA is far from a "deep south" city in any sense other than geography.
I know we're supposed to say "F ND," but I was hoping they would add one more from the ACC and then dangle the final spot in front of the Irish. Take it or enjoy your new conference that we just raped.
