For my , IU is not a formidable road team. I don't want to undersell their athletes, but it takes a really, really incredible effort to win @ the Brez. IU is certainly capable of such an effort but I think MSU is unstoppable in this game. The defense is going to be smothering again, the crowd will be huge and vicious, and IU will decompose.
This team plays it's best in big games and I think sole control of first place in the big ten and protecting home court will be more than enough motivation to win.
I thought that originally, but am pretty sure everyone has Indiana on the mind. I'll go with 8. It's gonna be loud in there.
I get the people who are citing the Nebraska game, but at this point, I think it's fair to say we are still playing to the level of our competition. There is a mountain of evidence to support that statement.
I think we'll get it together again vs. Indiana after playing very well against them in Bloomington. No way Oladipo changes the game defensively like he did in Bloomington.
Payne and Nix have their way with Zeller, or at least prevent him from being the scoring presence IU is used to.

6.....If we get about the same number of homer calls as they did at their place, it goes up to 8.

So blowing out Michigan at the Breslin a few days earlier didn't help?
I was a 10 for Michigan, but I'm going 9 on this one. MSU lost by 4 on the road at Assembly Hall with Appling on the bench much of the game. I guess that makes me much more confident than most people that MSU will win on Tuesday.

I'll give us an 8-8.5. I still don't believe that the Hoosiers are that good, but the home crowd has to bring it strong.
8 and possibly even higher. If they don't have olidopo then it is a 9 or 10!!
Michigan State football--- It is what it is!!! GoGreen!!!
Indiana's best road win is @ OSU and the last game against State the refs fucked us, Appling hardly played and Zeller was totally shut down.
I'm feeling a 9.

No Trice - 7
With Trice - 9
10. MSU is a flat out lock to win this game at home. The only team that could beat us at home at this point in the season is Wisconsin.
8, we have played well at home and I expect another great crowd on Tuesday. The only reason it isn't higher is because I think IU is one of the toughest teams in the conference and they could probably beat anyone on any given day.
Are you nuckin' futz?!
Your opinion is wrong.
I mean, really, 4? Not even a 50/50 tossup, considering we should have won in Bloomington and just blew the doors off UM?
9.6- Only reason IU won last time was because of the refs! Go Green!
I think they did that @ Indiana.
The indoctrinated will no longer be able to deny it, only defend it.
I'm at 7. It's easy to look at our four-point loss in Bloomington and think we'll do better -- but we played about as well as we can offensively that night. The difference since then has been defensive intensity. I'm expecting that we won't be quite as good on offense, but our improved defense will make up the difference for a win at home.
A few variables could stop us, though ... Appling getting into early foul trouble ... the turnover flu striking again ... refs calling a tight game ... Watford hitting ridiculous contested three-pointers ... or Oladipo (just generally).
Oladipo, by the way, is playing.
What's the latest on VO's ankle ?
According to Crean, Oladipo will play. Don't know if that means he's at 100%, but twisted ankles are not uncommon and it's not unusual for players to return to the same game and be effective. I'm not expecting anything less than Oladipo at full-tilt.
9 I like the way we matchup against IU. Zeller really has problems with the physicality of Nix/Payne. Oladipo will score his points, but I like our guards alot more. . . and the Breslin has been magical.
If we went White-Out, a 10.
Realistically, a 7.
