I know rankings now don't mean much, but still it would be cool. Every team ahead of MSU in the rankings has tough road games to play this week.
Syracuse at UConn.....tonight
Miami at FSU tonight, at Clemson, Sun.
Duke v. UNC tonight, at Maryland, Sat
Gonzaga at St. Marys, Tomorrow
Florida at Auburn, Sat (most unlikely upset of all)

i can tell you the rankings are garbage because IU and MSU are clearly the best two teams in America today.
i know Miami beat MSU on their home court, but we all know the result if they play a rematch.
i only care about spartans --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqsAJQc-NCY
As long as we keep winning I don't really care, the only thing that matters at this point is getting a #1 seed. I think the B1G will have 2 #1 seeds so we just need to take care of business and the rest will take care of itself. Last night was a huge statement game and puts us in the 1 seed discussion.
ESPN could dump the AP rankings for a week and use Mark Titus's rankings.
Michigan State University is the university of Michigan
I think it's possible that we could jump Florida, Syracuse, and Gonzaga even if they dont lose.
We should at least be top 4, no matter who wins and loses. You should get to jump some teams when you totally annihilate the #4 team.
We are not going to jump Florida in the polls after they crushed Kentucky last night.
Kentucky is nothing special this year, neither is the $EC. I have no idea if Florida has beat anyone decent so please lemme know if I'm selling them short on quality wins.
MSU and IU are hands down best 2 teams right now on Feb 13, 2013.
IU should be #1 and we will see what happens on Tues next week.
Didn't say its right, just saying that its not going to happen without Florida losing again this week.
It would have helped if MSU curb stomped scum later in the week on Sat or Sun because sadly many of the voters will have forgotten all about what happened on Tues.
Who really cares? Just win out and the rankings will take care of themselves...
Nίκη για MSU
All Miami's losses have been with key players out. At full strength they have been destroying teams. They should be in the discussion.
FSU is giving them a good game tonight.

1 down, 4 to go
I was talking to a coworker about this possibility today. Got to say the energy last night wouldn't even come close to what might be on Tuesday if it is 1v2.
Ive been saying it all year and still say that Gonzaga and Butler are frauds.
I would have to think it would be pretty close. 1v2 would be huge, but you gotta think people were pretty fired up to lay the wood to the scUMbags..
When they award the national championship based off AP rankings in February I'll start to care.
Gonzaga blows out St. Marys, , doesn't look like it can/will happen now.
Jesus christ let us just get past nebraska, fuck the rankings. Maybe its just me but i dont think this is going to be a show up and win type of game in Lincoln.
In looking at the schedule of games tomorrow, I just don't see anybody ahead of us losing. Duke @ Maryland is probably the most likely loss, and that's probably not happening.

It wont be 1v2 but should be close. Buy your tickets now if you dont have them already. Gonna be crazy
OK from now on no posts about anything but the next game, no tourney talk, title talk anything but Nebraska....sounds great.
#1 vs. #2 would be cool and all, but I look at it differently.
We play @ OSU next Sunday. If we beat Indiana and OSU, chances are pretty high we'll be ranked #1 next Monday.
Yeah, I would've come down on that side a few weeks ago when we were struggling against dogshit opponents, but this team CLEARLY turned the corner several games ago. I'm fairly certain we would win at Nebraska even if Dawson had to rest and not play.
Gonzaga's good. They don't have guys that blow you away as future pros like Morrison or Turiaf or Austin Daye, but they play well as a team. They hit the glass like crazy, they score, they are #2 in the country in FG percentage, they play much better defense than past Gonzaga teams, they're huge inside with Olynyk, Dower an Harris, they have older guards with tournament experience... Basically a checklist of what you want in the tournament. They've only had one game all year where they were outplayed. In a season of inconsistency they've been one of the more consistent teams and they've played a Top 40 or 50 schedule doing it. They won't win it all, but I'd really be surprised if they were out before the Elite 8.
Butler will be a tough out in the tournament because of how they play... but the last three weeks they haven't been all that great.
