I feel more disgusted than ever about our fortunes this year after that Indy shitshow. We surrendered 19 rush yards to Wisconsin in their own house. I didn't see the final stat line (or the end of the game) but they must have had 400+ against Nebraska. I know its dumb to compare apples and oranges, but it served as a very stark and harsh reminder of the defense we wasted this season. Guys, we had an abysmal offense. Yes yes, that dead horse has been beat. But if we had an offense that could be at least considered average or even below average, we'd be in the Rose Bowl. This was our best chance in years to get there. And it will be for years to come. And BRETT FUCKING BEILEMA goes back to Pasadena. And Roushar isn't going anywhere.
I'm sad, bros.

Irrationality has no place on tRCMB. +1 for you.

Should be directed at Roushar...not everything and everyone.
Creative and original thread from Fish!
Roushar threw away this season. even worse, he will continue to be the ceiling of this program. Our defense will be stout as long as Coach D is here, but this offense will continue to struggle under him...that is, unless we get an all-B1G QB, all-B1G RB, a few senior WRs and a OL with at least three all-B1G performers (in other words, we'll need outstanding talent to play through his BS, just to be average)
Wisconsin is going to he Rose Bowl and State is going to the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl and they one ONE MORE FUCKING GAME THIS YEAR.
The guy really brings something different to the table every time he posts. He is like the opposite of a one trick pony. He's like a 400 trick pony.

Well, then you should be happy OSU hired Urban Meyer, because Wisky's little run is ovah.
Fortunately, Roushar won't be calling plays next season.
The biggest difference was Wiscy FIXED their OL and play calling issues. MSU didn't fix either one. I still believe the OL issues were much bigger than Rousher. The OL was just a disaster after the injuries. If MSU could have had a sustained running game with ANY consistency they would be in the Rose Bowl.
The moment is eternal

But especially roushar. I'll go to my grave knowing he cost us a Rose Bowl trip this year. We were designed to stop wusconsin, all we had to do was to field a competent offense to win our shitshow of a division, and we didn't even come close.

The crazy thing about Roushar determining the ceiling is that it's the same as the floor.
You didn't hear
where's he going SH? WMU or NIU? lmao...he'll be tucked under coach d's 'wing' stinking things up again next season: they won't hire his sorry ass. At least we get the benefit of his stellar recruiting though....all is well.
Ok, so Johnny Adams is 3 inches higher and tips the pass that Ohio State scores their only TD of the game on. Let's say the ref realizes that the PF he called could have actually had an effect on the play when Adams runs intot he endzone with the ball carrier (which btw, dont have an issue with the flag being thrown, but a huge issue with not picking it up).
Those two items considered and we are still 8-4 still being beat by a garbage heave for a game winning FG in AA.
It is what it is and we need to forget that and move forward. We have extra practices which is much bigger than the bowl game, and we get to play another game.
Focus on this game and move toward next year
It is sad that the '10 and '11 years will be the closest we get to Pasadena for a long time. OSU is going to destroy whoever comes out of our division next year.
Because they 'destroyed' us this year.
Yeah, I'm not about to bow down to the altar that is Urban Meyer. OSU had to win a lot of close games this year to go undefeated. They were the Bizarro-Spartans.....
Count me as one of the people not sold that OSU is going to breeze through the B1G next year. If you actually watched this year, they weren't that great, just less bad then everybody. They won all of their close games this year, but as we've learned that won't happen every year
I had a similar rant about 3 weeks ago, but yours is better.
Too bad an excellent defense goes to waste. Truly a shame.
What really bums me out is I really didn't want to think less of Dantonio, but I'm really going to have a hard time with it if he doesn't make a change. There were warning signs last year that Roushar isn't the best guy going forward. Now, he's helmed one of the worst offenses (literally) in the nation. Coach D has to understand the margin for error is slim and if this particular program is going to continue to build momentum, we absolutely can't afford to falter like this.
Roushar needs to go, and not because fans on some message board said it. He needs to go because his unit was talented enough to be better, if not significantly better, than it was. Period. We blew a giant opportunity here this year.
But hey, I guess he's still tucked under that wing.
