Let's hear your predictions for 2014 and 2015 as well.. I'm hungry for insight..
FWIW - MSU is now a mediocre program due to a sub-par OC. It will be tough, if not impossible, for them to overcome a UM program run by Hoke (and top-notch assistants), and OSU program run by Meyer. Then there's those pesky Cornhuskers and Badgers...
There, I hope you're full now.
Obviously time for a strongly worded letter to Hollis.
Don't post poop!
SLS Sydrome. Self Loathing Spartan.
Yeah, OSU beat us by one point this year. We have no chance in the future.
Its nice to know that we're still talking about going to the B10 Title game coming off of a 6-6 season.
Also really nice to know that if we get a new playcaller next year, everything will be fixed. Our receivers will be better at catching and blocking, Maxwell better at throwing and offensive lineman won't get hurt.
There wasn't one playmaker on our entire offense besides Bell, this team didn't deserve to be anywhere close to Indy. Not one playmaker at all. You know that you're allowed to run after the catch, right? You don't have to catch a ten yard route and immediately get tackled.
I'm booking my flight to Pasadena the moment Roushar is demoted/fired.
Keep it up, chuckleheads. I caught a crow and put it in the freezer. I'll gladly thaw and eat in a few years if The Roush gets it done. But he won't. Because he's a moran. Then I'll ship the crow (in a cooler, of course) to you!
I will say, however, that I'm not overly scared of OSU being invincible from here on out, as seems to be the thought among some. And Michigan is going to be a solid team again, but I'm not convinced Hoke will take them much further than Carr post-1998. 8 or 9 wins the norm, 10 or higher a big success.
All of that said, the wins won't be as easy as they were against those teams while they were down, and sheer math alone will make things more difficult. This league will be 14 teams before you know it. Garbage football additions, sure, but Simple math states it will harder to win your division and the league.
The self-loathing Spartans thing is cute, but those who use that in a knee-jerk way to criticize those who see the writing on the wall appear increasingly foolish. If you don't think The Roush was a MASSIVE part of the problem this year, you're kidding yourself. And if you continue to wave the Narduzzi 2009 flag, you're foolish as well. Just because one person panned out doesn't mean another person will.
Lol, nobody is really disagreeing with anything you are saying. I just think its pretty comical that you feel the need to post it over, and over, and over, and over, and over again.
There were tons of problems on offense this year, this team DID NOT DESERVE to go to Indy. Move on and enjoy your life for a day, I'm just grateful we were able to salvage a bowl game after this God-forsaken season.
This had thread of the year potential based on title alone until you fucktards turned this into a de/sb debate again. Like I haven't heard that before.
Screw everything and everyone!
What does that have to do with anything? If we had a different person calling plays, we'd be there. Bottom line. Take all the injuries, all the inexperience, ALL OF IT, and add it up. That stuff combined still wasn't as big of a problem as the dude who had no idea how to adjust to defenses, no idea how to get an offense into a rhythm, NO IDEA how to minimize his team's weaknesses or maximize its strengths. This season is on Roushar.
Expect more years like this in the future unless Dan Roushar somehow stumbles upon the best set of skill players this university has seen in 40 years. Again.
This season is on Roushar. Those going forward will be on Dantonio, who, barring some major surprise here, has shown he refuses to take the next step with this program by refusing to deal with what is an obvious problem.
Trust me, nobody hopes I'm wrong more than I do.
I hate to break it to you but we were 2-3 plays away from being a 3-9 football team.
I don't care who was calling plays this year, there was a TON of problems on offense. A perfect storm if you will.
To continue to blame it on one person 100% is insane.
The play calling wasn't great but the offensive strategy and design as a whole is too predictable and basic. The canary in the coal mine was the 2010 @iowa game. There have been these random stink bombs and I think that's why.
Reason why we lost so many close games this year is because of the Tresselball playing not to lose strategy. OSU was afflicted by this for years.
I don't think Roushar is solely to blame. OF COURSE injuries, youth and poor execution were huge, huge factors. But I think a different person could have mitigated those, to the extent they could be mitigated.
You without question stated numerous times in this thread that a different play-caller would've gotten us to Indy/Rose Bowl. I thoroughly disagree with this.
No doubt, this team could've/should've been an 8-4 type team, but it just was not a great squad at all. Bad luck, inexperience, bad play calls, big mistakes in red zone all hurt this team all season.
We'll be back, we'll be ok. It just wasn't in the cards this year.
I'm really hoping this thread turns into a debate regarding Rousher vs. Maxwell and/or other tertiary conditions that may or may not have contributed to the overall decline of the football teams efficacy this season.
I'm going to be as repetitive as you are for a second.
You are really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really stupid if you believe this drivel. Really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really stupid.

I'm not engaging in personal attacks on this board anymore, so I'll just leave it at that. Wow.

And Beilema got skewered on here when he made the change at OL coach and QB. He's scapegoating, he's not loyal, not giving people a chance, etc etc. Hard to argue with the ultimate outcome. The tough losses aside, the OL got much better as did the QB play, and they did what they had to do when it mattered most.
It's like seeing Lake Michigan as a landfill in I, Robot..
what a new exciting post

I think he covered that in the "dead horse" part. We know he doesn't mean it, he's just come down with Rousharisyphyllis which is a mental condition bordering on being suicidal.
What did everyone have for lunch? I had a delicious turkey sandwich with sea-salt crusted bread and crisp lettuce. A true treat!
Agree on this. I expect them to be to B1G next year what SCum was this year. Last year armpunt and his merry band got all the breaks they needed against everyone but us. Those things tend to even out. I think next year teams will be a little better prepared for Miller and they will struggle offensively. Still expect them to have a very good D but if our O skill players can grow up and play calling improves we have the other core elements to make a run at it.
