Worst disaster in modern times is from the early 50s when michigan agricultural college was allowed into the Big 10

WHAT THE ****???
There is a difference between a disaster and some morons playing with guns and pyrotechnics.
I don't see anything you list here as disasters. Disasters are from natural causes, earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes, landslides, hurricanes, etc.
Anything that is man-made is not a disaster.
Are you really trying to say that there isn't weather damage equal to that on a yearly basis? If anything, it exposed how backwards everything is down there, but that was more of a product of the hype.
Some of you turds will argue about anything!
Hey, you aren't THAT bad.
This thread is absurd. The Tsunami in Japan was much worse than Katrina. Katrina was basically nature's way of natural selection of people who simply weren't smart enough to help themselves.
Wtf dude. So what qualifies as a disaster to YOU? Is there over/under on 100 dead? Jeebus.......
UM, Green Bay and Chicago teams all have one thing in common: They all suck
.......you almost had me there.
WTF kind of thread is this? Wish I had a downvote left today.
Is this Nucky?
Here is the one that should concern anyone living near it. A repeat of what happened in the early 1800s would be beyond devastating. Fascinating to read about if you are unfamiliar with the story.
Here's the direct link to the story about the 1812 earthquake
We heard you the first time dumbass
WTF are you talking about, champ?
According to the attached report by this MSU grad, from 19960-2006 droughts, floods, windstorms, slides, waves/surges, extreme temperatures and wild first killed on average 28,266 globally. Katrina killed 1,836 in one weekend. I would say that is pretty significant and not simply media event.

1,833 people died in Katrina. It caused $108B in damages (in 2008 dollars); the next closest hurricane is Andrew at $40B (in 2008 dollars). The 2011 tornado outbreak killed 359 people and caused $11B in damages (in 2011 dollars).
So, Katrina caused more than five times the number of deaths and about ten times the amount of damage.

You are an idiot and a disaster of a person.
but but but but I don't feel bad! They had time to do something! The poor should have moved! The rich should have been smarter!
