I have been holding out on getting a twiiter account because I originally thought it was another dumb idea that the average American enjoys, like Jersey Shore. To me it was basically another facebook status update tool.
The more I think about it, I might actually like twitter for opposite reason I originally thought it was intended for. Now I look at is as a tool for receiving information from real sources and so much about not giving information. If I opened an account, I probably wouldn't add my friends, I would add my favorite writers like Joe Rexrode and programs like MSUFootball.
So, RCMB, should I get an account?
Only a grade a moran wouldn't!
Meh, anything worthwhile would get posted on the RCMB. Just wait for the good stuff to get funneled here.
I prefer to see tweets on myface
you nailed it. get a twitter. twitter is the anti facebook. you receive information from whomever you decide you want it from. there are basically three categories of people to follow:
1. celebrities. Athletes...etc etc. whatever you feel is worthy of your attention
2. Comedians. funny for when you're watching a sporting event on tv and a comedian tweets something funny while you're watching the same thing.
3. news sources. breaking news is quicker here than anywhere else. twitter broke whitney houston death 17 minutes before the first mainstream source CNN(not a great example but the most recent example)
edit re news sources: many news sources like the freep, wsj, nytimes, etc... tweet links to articles they write and have on their sites. so you can click on the links of articles you find interesting. it's where i go for news now not those sites themselves.

Not really anti more like Twitter is masculine, Facebook is feminine.
Yes. You need to be the first one that tweets about MSU's one time only black uniforms they'll be wearing vs Ohio State on senior day!!
Twitter is the best for athletes and celebrities.
It is a completely unfiltered mouthpiece that shows you really how dumb some of these people are when they don't have publicists speaking for them (celebrities) and cliched locker room answers prepared (athletes).
Also...porn stars often tweet naked pics of themselves.
So, yes, get one.
Yes. Porn is exceedingly hard to find on the internet these days.
Yeah, I don't know what I would JO to w/o the twitters.
It's nice to find a random titty picture in a timeline full of otherwise non titty pics.
Kinda like a little treat.
EDIT - What the hell is wrong with more porn?

Twitter is exponentially better than this place.
Edit: In reply to whoever said to wait for info to funnel here.

Twitter is the place where you can get legit and fake information instantly
Joe Paterno died twice and twitter exploded both times
