IMO I don't think he was trying to punch him.
It looks to me like he's trying to jerk his arm away from Watford and Hulls got in the way. I don't even think he knew Hulls was there.
laconophilia is everywhere...
While I still support him being tried for attempt of murder, I actually think he was ripping his arm away from Watford's box out and it swung right into Hulls' face.
I think this needs to be Tweeted to David Brandon and Matt Painter as well. Those guys have the direct dial numbers for Delany, I'm sure they can help bring justice to this situation.
Gullible people everywhere, man. To this very day, the vast majority of people think it was an accident when Peter threw that football and hit Marcia in the nose.
After looking at it closely it is clearly short of the stick...but I declare it a first down anyway.
Marsha had it coming.
They're not happy
He totally knew that it was Hulls that was right there and even looked at him as he punched him. Completely premeditated.
I was getting worried about you - this thread had been up for several entire minutes and no sign of Bob. I feared the worst, but maybe it was just a matter of your automatic UM thread notification alert malfunctioning?
This second angle shows it a lot clearer. As others have said. GRIII is trying to rip his arm away from Watford and, as a result, drills Hull in the face. It was a punch, but I suppose it could be argued whether the intent was there. Of course, GRIII didn't seem to give a shit that it happened either.
It feels like the type of play where he turns and crashes into him, but his arm is moving so much faster than the rest of his body. If it was a punch, he would have had to know where he was without looking at it, and do no jawing running up the court.
It shoulda been a foul, but no suspension.
But you make it look so easy.
and yet they call our team thugs...
He hit the guy, then turned the other way pretending like nothing happened.
looks accidental, but you'd think the guy would stop and ask if Hulls was ok after he realized he accidentally punched him in the face, no?

Looks unintentional, but at least there is definite contact on video.
Seth Davis and Dakich have tweeted about it FWIW...
Glenn Robinson III @GRob_1
Just want to make it CLEAR that i did not purposely punch Hulls in the face, my arm was pushed causing the incident.
Since he admitted it, case closed. One game suspension. You have to be in control of your body.
Strange, they haven't banned me yet
Robinson III was just trying to do something to prove he was on the floor Sat night.
that 'attempt of murder' never gets old...
'Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable'
- President John F. Kennedy
It looked like Watford was hooking Robinson's hand and he was trying to get it free.
Hulls was unfortunately on the other end of it.
Due51 is pissed. Pretty hilarious considering I've seen that name trolling over here.
From the other thread on their board about the punch...
"Imagine Dakich tweeting it...seems like the University should do this not Di**itch. The refs reviewed it and didn't see anything to warrant punishment so the B1G shouldn't either IMO."
Yeah...kind of like Gholston's punch?
