They are wearing a costume for TV love, which is still a distraction, a distraction from the fact that their parents never hugged them growing up.
nice, thanks for the downvote, asshole
1 2 3 FIRST DOWN BITCH!!!
There are first downs in basketball, right?
Remind yourself. Nobody built like you, you design yourself.
A Spartan Today, A SPARTAN FOREVER. Through thick and thin, low and high water I strive to be the best Spartan ever.
Yeah, a first down happens right after we kick a goal into the dugout.
He was right to call you out, you still got to be in the Bres last night and that's enough to be thankful for, quit your bitching.
And don't wear orange when MSU is playing Illinois.
Kudos to the Izzone from Section 126. You guys were loud as F@$# last night, the first 5 minutes of the second half were simply awesome.
for what? he thinks he deserves a seat before people that got there an hour before him?
For a lot of you in this thread.
Uhh, did you read the post I was responding to? The late arriver was bitching about the you calling him out and downvoting him, I told the late arriver that you were right.
"You still got to be in the Bres last night and that's enough to be thankful for, quit your bitching."
Who else would I be saying that to?

I surprised students don't wear green/white or otherwise MSU themed costumes.
It doesn't bother me either way, but I guess I don't really get it...
well, you quoted my post and used "you"...so i naturally assumed you were talking to me...
Yeah, I didn't realize you were quoting yourself. Nevermind, I am just an idiot.
haha, no worries
The only acceptable costume is Green Man, going mental....however, there can only be one Green Man - if there is more than one it just looks weird. Izzone needs to take a vote and elect a Green Man. Everyone else just gets to wear their Izzone shirts.

were the costumes as common before the sign ban? I can't really remember. It'd make sense if they weren't as common because people would have signs to distinguish themselves from the crowd. Now we have 5 fucking where's waldos in a row when we're playing tOSU
Either one person wears green man or the entire Izzone wears green man. It's one or the other.
I am not to crazy about Izzone rules, btu if you come there wearing Yellow or blue then you should be kicked out. Some costumes like the Stromtrooper are pretty sweet. Pikachu and Big Bird are lame as phock.
They don't really care about the game, they care about getting on TV.
Completely agree, go all season with only one green man, someone who has earned it, then for one game, SURPRISE, EVERYONE IN GREEN MAN.
It's rare, but sometimes students wear costumes with the intention of distracting the other team. For instance, I'm not sure if they were ever on TV, but when we played OSU, there were two guys behind the basket next to the MSU band. One was dressed up as a hot dog and the other as a bottle of mustard. Whenever OSU shot FTs in the second half, 3 or 4 other guys would turn the guy wearing the mustard suit onto his side and lift up and down along the guy wearing the hot dog suit. OSU ended up missing 3 or 4 FTs IIRC.
However, the majority of people wearing costumes are trying to get on TV. I don't have any problems with trying to get on TV as long as you're making noise during the actual game.
Oh, and tSearchFunction is really confused as to why no one uses it when it comes to Izzone threads
It is possible to wear a costume and still really be into the game. Some of you have gotten really old and have forgotten what it's like to be young and have fun.
Costumes are this generation's Izzone thing. In 5 years, I'm sure you'll be complaining about something else.
costumes i'm fine with, even non-MSU themed (loved the super fans back in the heyday). However the non-green and white costumes need to go. There are guys that wear "wheres waldo" costumes...What the F are you going to do when we play wisconsin, or OSU, or Nebraska, or Indiana...You are openly wearing the other teams colors A-holes, and deserve anything that gets thrown at you.
Your average UofM fan and I have something in common, neither of us went to UofM. Though we do share One major difference, I got Accepted.
I don't know how I missed the hot dog and mustard, but that is awesome and a perfect example of students wearing costumes for the purpose of distracting. Like you said though, I don't care if they're wearing it to just get attention, if they're making noise I'm totally fine with it.
