Unfortunately, I don't think UM will get blown out by any of their potential opponents. I don't think they will win, but it wont be a woodsheding.
SB Nation Detroit @sbnationdetroit
Just realized the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl picks ahead of the Gator Bowl this year. Michigan could get sent to Arizona thanks to this.
I see Michigan State as a destination, not a stop.~Mark Dantonio
Any truth to this? Would it revive the MSU vs MSU bowl?
Nope, bowl order for the big ten is
But it is looking likely that Capital one will pick Northwestern, making Nebraska go to the outback, and Michigan to the gator, to play MSU or Vandy, easy win.
Mostly the same "easy SEC team" as last year, since UM fans were so quick to knock us down and laugh at how UGA was anything but a hard opponent last year. Now they get their shot. This should be fun. =)
Except Georgia was 10-2, Vandy and MSU are 8-4.
No game against a decent opponent will be easy with Al Borges diagramming his computer plays, I wouldn't be surprised if we lose to whoever we play... even if it's Vandy or the other MSU.

I'd rather play Georgia in the Outback than Vandy in the Gator anyday.
Obviously, those don't compare.
There are some who would rather play an easier team and have a better chance of winning. Not I.
Yeah, people are pusses.

maybe....maybe not. The thing is, IF UGA is pissed and motivated they'll kick that weasel ass. However, and this is a BIG however........SCum can win that game if UGA goes into the fetal position and is completely depressed about the way they lost a chance at the natty championship.
This is the thing I've noticed over the years about bowl games: the BEST team doesn't always win, the team that has the most motivation and practices harder and better over the course of a month normally wins. This game will be no different: my question would be, how motivated will UGA actually be after losing in such a brutal way to bama?
UM won't be playing Georgia.
fine by me....as I said above, I don't know HOW UGA gets up for any bowl after the way they had their heart ripped out and stomped on last night. So who are the scummers playing then NigelUno?
CBS sportsline has us playing OK State in the BWW Bowl and SCum playing Vandy in the Gator Bowl....once again, they play an inferior opponent in a bowl game....Vandy is pretty average.

Didn't we win our bowl game last year?
scUM will get to go back to Gator and will throttle Vandy...

I see what you did there.....little different in fairness though. MSU lost chance to go to Rose Bowl. UGA lost shot at NC....we had special senior leaders on that team that had never won a bowl, and were desperae to do so: do all those scenarios hold true with the bulldogs? Dunno, they might. I concede your counterpoint, it's a good one.
slmandel: Georgia DT John Jenkins: "Whoever we play next is going to feel the wrath of this game."
Big John seems pissed off and ready to go.......seems they'll play OU in the Cotton Bowl. I can see that getting ugly for OU as they simply arent' that good. Watched them play an avg. TCU team yesterday and struggle with them big time.
I've heard Texas vs LSU in the Cotton Bowl. Cotton Bowl wants LSU, much closer to Dallas. Georgia may fall to either Outback (went last year) or Chik Fil A
My nieces boy friend who is a senior at UM texted me he'd rather win his last bowl game. I'm guessing it's an 80/20 split. 80 being the UM fans that would rather see Vandy.
We did but we had to have a huge 2nd half rally. First half we weren't looking ready to play.
Kinda like MSU last year?... oh wait...
