Drake Harris™ @drizzygetbusy01
Planning on heading down to EL pretty soon to check out a practice and then spend the night with the team #SpartanDawgs #spartannation
^This is obviously very confusing

Drake, why must you play with my feelings :(
With him the Quidditch team should be a powerhouse
Nothing personal, but I'm locking all Drake Harris info until some real concrete information comes out that he's reconsidering MSU.
Edit: Well, that was fast. Confirmed by Trieu over at Scout that MSU is back in it. I'll let the OP post the details, such as there are.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
This has been posted in a previous thread, but a huge development:
Allen Trieu @AllenTrieu
Drake says talking to Coach Dantonio again is what has #MSU back in it: http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=175&f=2653&t=11446090 …
-Now this sets up a few questions. If Drake actually is reconsidering MSU, what's the reaction? He's incredibly talented, but some people on here said some pretty negative things. Was it just post break-up anger on tRCMB's part?
I don't think so. I think it's pretty reasonable to say how things went down before were pretty shitty and definitely indicated strong dbaggery. But that doesn't speak to his level of talent or potential value to the team/program.
MSU is becoming a destination for sleepovers, and I like that. Nice to see us try it in recruiting and not just basketball!
Joe Rexrode @joerexrode now
Just talked to Drake Harris while riding the shuttle to the Ga Dome. He confirmed MSU back in it, and he will visit EL soon.
Some texting with Izzo and some Facebook messaging with Mark Dantonio helped convince Harris to give MSU another chance, he said.
If he commits and signs a LOI....great. If he doesn't, oh well. I try not to have expectations with a kid who is barely old enough to have a driver's license....and there really is no reason to get excited either way until they are on the field and playing well. We all love to talk about MSU has proven stars don't matter...so we might as well act like it, not bash this kid, and hope for the best for him, regardless of what he chooses.
Personally I was more fed up with recruiting in general than with Drake. These kids have too much pressure put on them for their maturity. Having hundreds of people tweeting you a day makes it very hard to stay humble and very easy to make a dumb choice. I still follow recruiting a bit, but I probably go to the Duff once every couple of weeks rather than a few times a day since my VIP subscription expired.
Kid committed as a sophomore without looking at many schools. He was honest with the coaches and said he would like to take another look. Coaches said fine and started recuiting a number of other receivers. Kid has looked around and maybe thinks that he would like to go to MSU after looking over the fence and seeing what others had to offer/say. Long way to go on this one.
I'll withhold judgment until I hear from nysparty.
"RCMB: You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainry." - some dude from MgoBlog
I agree with you....a lot of recruits must love the attention. Retweeting what recruiting services say about them and what not shows that. That is why I passively follow it and try not to spend too much time because it really is not worth it.
Great, I guess?
It's hard for me to think this is anything more than "hmm, I kind of liked the attention I was getting."
Prove me wrong Drake.
Really? This is beyond pathetic. Pick up and move on. We have seen he has attitude issues and couldn't tell dantonio straight up he was leaving. He also said he wants to win a national title and that msu WAS NOT THE PLACE FOR HIM. Now he wants to bak track?
This is a fucking joke. Tell him his offer is not available anymore. Also, last I heard we were pursuing 2 other receivers who were similar in talent to drake. Tell him to take a fucking hike.

To die in ann arbor is redundant
Glad to see everyone going crazy and thinking we have a shot with some cocky athlete who told us this was not the place for him.
You should not let something a teenager says get to you so much. At least I don't. Nobody says go tell him how great he is this and that....but if he wants to come back....fine by me. I guarantee if he was the next great MSU WR you wouldn't even remember this.
This is so funny. Where are all the people who were just trashing him weeks ago? Pretty silent. Izzo and coach D must think he isnt that bad if they are still trying to get him. Now you guys look like idiots.
If Izzo and Dantonio are willing to talk with Harris, who am I to tell them they shouldn't?
Stop trying to act all high and mighty. MSU football is in no position to be trying to turn down top talent lol.
FWIW, I talked to someone who spoke for a while with Drake's dad. His dad is enamored with Bama. When the guy I know mentioned that he wouldn't be able to go to all of Drake's games if he went to Bama, his dad replied, "Oh, they said they'd take care of that. I'll be able to fly down anytime, no charge...".
In short, this is an uphill battle.
How does a guy with 2 posts and 1 month to their name know anything about what happened in the past?
Say whaaaat...not sure I believe that. In other words, how is that legal? You have to believe Drake isn't the only big time offensive recruit they are selling who lives out of state, which means they would be pitching the same "free airline miles" package to multiple recruits. No way that doesn't come out somehow.
I do have to say I respect some of the people who are sticking to their guns about not wanting him after the great Drake meltdown of 2013. My outlook has always been that these guys are in high school, and Harris, in particular, has loved the limelight. Can't really blame the kid, but in regards to Spartangrad99's post, I don't think he's getting interest in State again because it's another school to give him attention. He has almost every school after him, 1 more really wouldn't make a difference. He fell in love with this school for a reason (although it seemed it was because of basketball), so it might be an uphill battle..but I still think we have a shot in this, and would welcome him 100%, kid is crazy talented.
