I like Izzo's comments that Dawson is a NBA talent without a jumper. they aren't going to force him into being a shooter, let him rebound, get put backs and defend
I don't pop molly I rock Tom Ford
Good to see improvement, but he's not going to have that much time in a game to get his shot off. You can see the hesitation before each shot where he's thinking about his mechanics. Until it becomes muscle memory, he may have trouble translating that success at game speed.
appling did the same thing. he'd revert back to that flat jumper under pressure
Way nicer form
Probably the worst spot on the floor to be taking jumpers in game action (just inside the three point line at the top of the key), but I'm sure they're just working on form and pushing out his range.
How is his jumper compared to Byrd?
hoke- to alter or manipulate so as to give a deceptively or superficially improved quality or value.
That video was posted a week ago.
Form looks so much better
Possibly, teams are going to give him room to shoot until he proves that he can consistently hit a mid range. Basically I think he will have more time to get his shot off until teams adjust. Anyway forget the jumper for now how are his handles?

I don't understand how we could lose a game this year. I just don't.
Tough love is in effect here|We won't accept you as you are|Instead, we will show you a vision of what you could be and help you achieve it
Not impressed, TBQH. If the camera had stayed on him rather than the following the ball I'm sure you'd still see some funkiness in his elbow and/or forearm position on release - you can see how the ball swirls through the net rather than snapping through. Sure sign that his release is still out of whack.
That said, he'd hardly be the first guy to make a yon of shots with an unconventional release - but I'll believe he's a better shooter when he actually shoots better on games.
Of course here comes that one douche. Can't you just be happy that he's improving asshole?
He has a couple months to work on it still. I would say this is a damn good start.
Can you post the picture?
I agree...but I so hope he can do it.
I want to see him go off and say: "Uh Oh...Happy Learn how to putt".
Where is the jump? Thread title misleading
i only care about spartans --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqsAJQc-NCY
He needs more lift on his jump for it to be a jump shot. That's more of a set shot than a jump shot.
I believe this is what Izzo calls "High School Harry" .....
The release seems to be improved. Unfortunately, the shot begins somewhere around his scrotum.
Is this a better thread title now?
Significantly improved form. Great start. Good for him
Yes, and I'm very happy he has his summer back this year to be a gym rat and help MSU win the whole F'ing thing this year
