How much better is Spotify than Pandora? How long has this been out for? Lord, I might have to even sack up and get premium. Pandora blows.
"If you're worried about Wolverine fans, just move to Pasadena. You'll never have to deal with 'em."
Way better. Can create playlists like iTunes without having to pay. And their library is huge
A man's gotta eat!
WWAAAAAAAYYY better. First time I've paid for music in a loooong time. I went cold turkey from stealing everything I could find to only Spotify. I listen to on my pc, phone, tv via boxee and in the car.
Yep, Spotify is great. I have a Sonos system and stream Spotify and internet radio stations pretty much all day long.
I hate Illinois Nazis.
I love Spotify...it's basically on demand for music. I suckered up and pay the 10 bucks a month to have it on my phone and tablet. It's worth it because I don't really have to buy music any more

When you go premium, do you have access to more music? I've noticed a few artists (Led Zeppelin for one) not available on the free version.

Led Zeppelin at the moment is not available on sites like Spotify, but they are working on an agreement with the band to have their music included in the catalogue.
Obviously no musical library is ever going to be complete because there is just so much out there. But a lot of bands, Led Zep included, do not allow streaming of their music and some don't allow digital sales like on itunes, so that's why they're not on there. The good news, though, is just recently I heard something that Zep is going to be allowing their catalog to be added to services like Spotify and iTunes very very soon.
john bonham will be a tough sell.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought I've heard them on Pandora, though, of course, no control over when.
I feel like someone else on here said that they have before, too.
Definitely do premium. The ads suck and start to drive you crazy. Volume of music on there is amazing. Bad for artists (way less than a cent earned per click), but I imagine most people don't care.
do you still need a facebook account to log into spotify? so far that's been a deal breaker for me. no real desire to join facebook.
No you don't but it is fun to see the shit that your (facebook) friends are listening to.
Check out the Musixmatch app. It makes the lyrics to the song scroll on the screen (karaoke style). God bless the person who had to sit down and do this for Busta Rhymes' greatest hits album. Couldn't have been easy.
Spotify Premium is awesome and destroys Pandora. I use it from my phone to stream via bluetooth in my car / home and to my PC speakers at work.
Led Zep, the Beatles, and Tool are the biggest bands missing that I can think of off the top of my head.
I mean they are similar but two different services. Spotify can be great when you know exactly what you want to listen to - like someone before said, it's on demand.
Pandora is much better when you don't want to choose what you listen to (much like regular radio but targeted specifically to the music that you like). It's also great for discovering new artists that are similar to those you already listened to.
Spotify also has a Pandora-esque radio feature. Except it doesn't throw in a random John Mayer song when you're listening to Damian Marley.
Jesus. Why did it take me so long to get on Spotify?
I've discovered more music within my favorite genre than I ever could dream of.
Is there a way to export the starred songs into a doc?
Yeah the radio feature is a little wack. I had The Roots radio on and the Black Keys came on. I like the Black Keys, but not on a Hip Hop station.
