there are trash fires in every city almost every other day. Way to blow it out of proportion.
Obviously I'm a Michigan fan, but I have great memories at Cedar Village. Cedar fest was awesome.
Must have been awesome to live there.
Why the hell does the title say "three couch fires.."? A dumpster was on fire. One dumpster =/= "three couch fires..."

Which is funny because Detnews and Freep didn't bother to inform anyone that there was even a game tonight!
I grew up on Cahill. Every Friday and Saturday evening you could hear a dull roar from my front porch. I miss it
gHost, I think you need to be careful here. With as quickly as this was reported after the game, it would have been pretty impossible for anyone who was at the game to have caused these, unless they left the game early and had a car parked close. I don't think the great kids/fans from the Izzone who are passionate and proud of our University could have caused this and I think that needs to be mentioned.
Haters gonna hate!
The Spartans lose. The Wings lose. The Pistons lose. There's a murder in South Lansing and couch fires at Cedar Village. The Apocalypse is upon us!
We're they just trying to stay warm? . Looked kinda cold up there last night.
One can only hope...
Nίκη για MSU
I'm sure everyone around here poo-pooing this were Angels in East Lansing. Don't suddenly gain a mightier than thou attitude.
Couch fires in East Lansing happen all the time, you did it, your friends did it, and generation after generation of Spartans have and will continue to do it. Just because its stupid now doesn't mean it's not fun for the people doing it.
That was just our shooters outside the arc and at the free throw line.
This post is hilarious! I have actually never lit a couch on fire, but after this endorsement I might try. You make it sound like I have been missing out. No worries ghost, I live on the outskirts of EL and have a big yard so it wont get any negative pub.
Also, none of my friends did either, however we did flip a ford escort over for having a mich bumper sticker on gameday. That was the tony banks lead victory. Maybe we should have set fire to that thing?
Oh, believe me, I'm not saying the kids in the Izzone are responsible, my point is that we had a great week of local and national publicity, positive publicity, and now this bullshit - it pisses me off to see MSU in the spotlight for all of its positive attributes and then have a few random fucking jerkoffs light a fucking couch on fire and essentially ruin everything. Fuck those punks. I'll give each and every one of them a Colombian necktie and then pour acid over their bodies. Punks.

You're a fucking clown.
No I didn't. No my friends didn't.
We were rabid Spartans without being rabid idiots. We still are.
Fuck you and every so called "Spartan" who sully the good will each one of us work so hard to build and maintain for every Spartan that comes after us.
You talk about "generations of Spartans" as if you understand the concept of something greater than you.
You do not.

Pretty sure the dumpsters in cedar village caught fire on a weekly basis when I lived there but because it was after a big game it's news?
Dude its just a Couch fire. It a pretty innocent form of vadelism. Burning you own shitty ass couch shouldn't get you kicked out of school. You don't even go to jail for it.
"I know West Virginia students take a lot of pride in their ability to rise up and torch apolstry with the best of them, but it's high time we started putting Michigan State fans in a similar class."
just f'ing great, good job morans, thanks for setting us back
You guys might be overreacting lol
"If you're worried about Wolverine fans, just move to Pasadena. You'll never have to deal with 'em."
I would say this isn't a big deal, but the moron did it right in the middle of the road?!? Lol. I guess if I waited for hours in freezing temperatures to watch my team shit themselves I might want to burn something too.
I'm with you. I am no justifying burning couches, but its just not a big deal. Why CBS would wrtie about it is beyond me. It's a victimless crime.
