What was the difference between 09 and 10? I honestly don't know. Also, if our team is going to be 6-6 again, what am I going to do about it on a MB? I'll still watch the games and probably be upset for a little bit and then go on about my life. I'd say that we won't even really learn anything from the Spring game, as that stays pretty vanilla, but I don't watch it.
I guess its just something to talk about for the next 8 months.
Now knowing what 1995 is like all over again! Thank you 247 technology!!
Easier schedule and the thought the offense will improve from last year.
Logically, how can anyone take your arguments and not assume that we're going to get worse every year? After all, each year we are going to lose some of our best players. How can we possibly replace them?
Because the schedule is easy, our QB play honestly couldn't get worse and the Big Ten isn't that good.
We lost to a crappy Iowa team and struggled mightily against awful IU and EMU teams. Until they prove the offense is better than the 110th ranked steaming pile of crap from last year the schedule isn't "easy".

It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Spartan!!!!
And we barely lost to a bunch of teams because the offense was terrible. I blame that on Maxwell. I expect the QB situation to be better in 2013 just because that was the worst I have ever seen it at MSU.
Shit happens. Who cares? Should we fire Dantonio now? He isn't going to change the way he coaches all of the sudden because of a 7-6 season. He'll be on the hot seat if the results are the same this year, but what should we do? Or do we just now because its a MB?
Lost close games to OSU, Michigan and Nebraska tho too with that steaming pile of an offense, you don't think it will improve at all next season? I'm betting on it doing so and if the D is close to what last years was a great year is possible.
When you kiss your GF, does it bother you she tastes like Will Gholston?
"losing Caleb Benenoch is a blow that Dantonio will never recover from. Izzo has lost it as well. Hoke and Beilein own the state."
You honestly think MD will be on the hot seat for another 7-6 season? What are you smoking?
I think you and many others forget he is the coach of MSU, not Alabama. He has made it to 6 straight bowls (MSU record correct?), won the last two in a row, won 11 games twice in his six years, only has one losing season at 6-7, beaten UM 4 out of 6 tries, won a couple Big Ten regular season Championships. He has brought stability and respect to a program that is most known for its 40 years of underachieving, inconsistency and dysfunctionalism.
I would say he is pretty safe in his job security.
It would get warmer. People will say that he has had 7 years and we still never made a BCS game or Rose Bowl and then start crying that they deserve to see it before they die. I know that the last time we lost 5 or 6 games by less than 6 points, we did pretty well the following year. This place will be calling for his head if there is another 6-6 season or a 5-7 season and no bowl. At that point everyone will be terrified that blue man group to the east know how to play football again. This is the facebook, me, me, me generation. If I can't nuke it in under 30 seconds I don't want to eat it. If I have to put up with another 6-6 team we need a new coach, who cares about the past.
Maxwell has done blame but the fact we went an entire season without using a single double move by a WR screams loudly. So does not using Sims enough. So does the penchant for going away from what was working. So does the fact we couldn't get guys open all season. In the first 4 games, when we actually had a somewhat intact OL they were a walking sieve. The lack of turnover of our offensive coaching staff is a major concern. Until I see major improvement I can't say I believe it will happen. I don't trust that group of coaches to get the job done.
We did against CMU on a long TD pass.
Only 4 games that would be acceptable losses, ND, UM, Neb, and NW. Every other team is pure trash. Iowa is predicted last in the Legends. MSU drops OSU and Wisky, projected 1 and 2 in the Leaders, for Illinois and Purdon't, projected 5th and 6th in Leaders. (Yes, IU is prjoected 4th in the Leaders from what I've seen, lol).
Anything less than 9 wins would be pure trash for MSU next year.
