you sound like douches.
I'm not blaming him, but I'm pissed he left because we need him.
There's a time and a place for everything and it's called college.
I'm not blaming him, I just hope he feels bad because he could have been playing a lot the last few games.
I blame Kearney for these injuries and you can't prove he's not responsible for them.
youngblood96/viggo martyr/jargon: tRCMB's answer to Vidkun Quisling and Fred Phelps.
Blame his family. They coddled him his whole life and told him how great he was. At the first sign of turbulence when he wasn't the man, his wolverine family got in his ear, and he bailed on his friends and teammates because he was afraid to work hard and keep competing. If he would have left over the summer, good for him. Stranding your teammates midseason...good riddance.

hoke- to alter or manipulate so as to give a deceptively or superficially improved quality or value.
Why? He left his teammates in a tough situation with all these injuries.

This. +1 only because I can't do more.
Kearney was never going to be more than a role player. Now granted teams need those but it's not like he was a key player for us. He was a decent defender this season and that was about it. He was hideous on offense. The numbers don't lie. We'll be fine as long as we get everyone healthy again
I'm not blaming him for anything. He's not on the team, thus isn't responsible for the outcome of our games.
The way this season has played out is the perfect demonstration of why his choice to leave as he did was bad. You never know what's going to happen in a physical game like basketball, especially as it's played in the B10. He would have had many, many minutes, and multiple chances to showcase his wares on national TV. Instead, he's sitting at home watching his former teammates on television.
His choice, his judgment, both poor for him.
Spartans play on.
Thank you, Denicos.
obvious troll is obvious.
Kearney didn't want to be at MSU. So long. Best of luck to him.
i only care about spartans --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqsAJQc-NCY
I wonder if he is second guessing himself right now. This team is going places without him but maybe further if he was still here.
I don't care if he's third guessing. After this thread, he's not worth discussing anymore. The team is moving on and the fans should too.
I read the news today, oh boy .. ..
About a lucky man who made the grade
Kid didn't want to be here. Good luck, but let's leave it alone.
Valentine filled in quite nicely. No team has three strong point guards. We have two with Keith and Trice, and Valentine, a basketball Swiss Army Knife.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
Yeah, why talk about a kid that could have helped MSU but made a questionable decision? I'm glad you are moving on.
It was his decision to leave not his families. He didn't want to be a spartan anymore, he didn't want to get coached by one of the games greats anymore, he didn't want to play for one of the most prestigious college basketball schools in the country anymore. He didn't want to go on a deep tourney run. It was his decision, not going to wish him luck, he bailed midseason. He's nothing to this team and university anymore. Time for all parties to move on including this board. Spartans Will.
I think the biggest problem is that he left MSU in a bad spot depth wise for this year and future years. If Appling's injury had been more serious, we'd be looking at two freshmen being forced to each log 35+ minutes per night. That isn't good.
Your writing is clear, insightful, and grammatical.
As much as I would like to have him back now, it would be hypocritical of me to hate on him for leaving. At the time I thought it was a good move for both parties and the results since he left seem to bear that out. It's not the only reason we've gotten more cohesive but that's part of it.
This team found its identity when the bench got shorter and our best players were allowed to get comfortable with each other. Kearney forced Izzo's hand and that was pretty bogus, but I still think there's every chance it'll be a blessing for us now and down the road.

I like "Swiss Army" as a nickname for Valentine. +1.
Are you even a Spartan yet??
I disagree, and so does 2012 Kentucky.
That's not a fair comparison of course, but you can put Harris in any situation you want and I'm happy with that. Thrilled even.
Denzel is a little more hit-or-miss, but there's plenty of lesser players out there that get asked to do more than he does.
It is this simple.
He should have toughed out the season rather than quit on his teammates. Bitch move. Also, he really f-ed Izzo's recruiting efforts for 2013 (passing on D. Jackson and Shannon Brown's brother). So yea, f Kearney. He was getting plenty of minutes but he was selfish and wanted more shots.
I love Rexrode's point of view on Kearney's departure:
With the ongoing health issues of Appling, Trice and Harris and the inadequacy of Byrd, how much is this team missing Kearney right now?
by Ohiomsufan 10:13 AM
Definitely missing him at times here. His 12 minutes could have been big at times. BUT I'm not sure Izzo re-commits to the big lineup with Kearney in the fold. And the big lineup differentiates this team and gives it a chance to do some things. Also, Valentine's emergence has come in part because he had to get so many minutes. Does that happen with Kearney? Much bigger upside for Valentine than Kearney.
Edit for link.

Oh how we miss you Gerald Busby, Gerald Busby. Oh how we miss you! You could have been a champ, but you hit the ramp. Oh Gerald Busby!
It's a town full of losers. I'm pulling out of here to win!
