What say you thrashers for the bridge pup? Four humbucker finalists so far.
Dimarzio - injectors / tone zoneS
Seymour butts - JB jrs / Lil 59s
Don't want to pay for Joe Bardens. Is there a EMG I should be listening to?
Pics of 4 humbucker strat?
Strat sound is the hum sound....Go get a Les Paul if you don't want the hum.

Humbucker in a Strat seems to defeat the purpose, but if it's already routed for a humbucker ... I've loved everything I've bought from Bare Knuckle. Pricey though.
Also a big fan of the Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro.
High Quality Guitar Pickups - Hand Wound in the UK - Humbucker, Strat, Tele, P90, and Bass Guitar Pickups
I have a strat that doesn't hum. Is it broke?
If it has true single coil pickups there should be some hum, though the intensity depends on about a million different things.
Yep, some hum like hell and some have just a touch of hum...Then depending on the amp it could add more or hide some. I have a 98 Mexican Strat and I like the touch of hum it has, not too much.
A good shielding job can supposedly do wonders for eliminating hum but I haven't tried it. I've got a Mexican Telecaster with a little hum that varies based on which direction I'm facing in my guitar room. I never play that guitar with enough gain for it to be distracting anyway.
My strat and telecaster are both shielded. Also have some other wiring mods. They were my uncle's guitars before he passed. He was an electrician, so he was pretty good with the guitar modding.
The four candidates are stacked design single space humbuckers. No routing of the guitar is required.
You have expensive tastes,
If I had a Strat and was looking for single coil replacements, I'd go for these:

thanks Omar. I will take a better look at those. I did notice the Demarzio pup picker keeps putting those in the mix for strats. Looks like those will perform well as a split coil too.

What are the other pickups you already have? You need to make sure the new ones will blend well.
You really can't go wrong.
I have a SSS strat, but really want to put a humbucker in the bridge. I was thinking about the regular 59. Just need to find a good black pick guard first.
