We see ya, Servo...
Living 45 minutes from Toledo, I'm looking forward to seeing the Mudhens too. Castenellos will be there for at least a month, maybe 2 and their pitching should be pretty good based on guys who didn't make the big roster.

Me. Well at least right now, it's looking good for me to be there.
This. Tigers should take the division this year, and we all thought the division would be a cakewalk last year... But that's why they play the games. Starting pitching should be solid, but the pen is same last year with no closer defined. Vmart should hit well and spark the lineup, but the defense in the infield is just as poor as last year. Gonna interesting to see what DD does at trade deadline to plug up the holes.

I'll be there for sure. No tickets, just drankin. Third year running. PM me or something if you go.
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
Yup. Using the sick day I didn't burn for the Valpo game to go to Opening Day. Can't wait, and sounds the the weather will be at least decent.
Remind yourself. Nobody built like you, you design yourself.
Weather.com is showing a High of 52 and Sunny.
53 & Sunny according to Accuweather
If anybody has a single ticket that they don't want to be inconvenienced with...
I'll be there.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
Me too. First time!
Can anyone provide suggestions for where to park and where the best spot to drink is?
Lots aren't bad around Greektown. I like hanging out sort of in the center of downtown when I arrive (around 8:30 am) and chug some beers, but I think I will just be venturing down Woodward and the like. Will probably stop by Coach's Corner because people get rowdy as hell there.
This should be a separate thread. An MSU/Tiger Opening Day takeover. I'm too lazy to create it though.
The starting pitching should be the best in the league.
The pen should be solid without Valverde...who was terrible down the stretch last year. The BP by committee worked pretty well in the playoffs when Valverde was shut down. I doubt Benoit will have his HR streak happen like it did in the middle of last season....that should help.
VMart returning to form at his age in season remains to be seen, as does Hunter repeating last year. Both however shouldn't fall off the face of the earth (I hope) and both should be a leadership shot in the arm.
The defense of the IF is better than it was at this time last year. Infante >>>>> Platoon of Raburn/Inge/Santiago/Worth that they had until the trade deadline. Fielder had his worst year in the field numerically in his career, as I think he had a hard time adjusting to playing next to a terrible 2nd baseman...but was much much better when they got Infante. Cabrera was A LOT better than advertised at 3rd. A healthy Avila helps as well.
If all goes as expected, and the Tigers are healthy, out side of some bull pen help (and really, they have the arms...) I'm not sure what you are expecting at the trade deadline? They don't need starting pitching...maybe a corner OF with some power, but Nick C will be given first shot at that if it comes to it. Maybe a SS to replace Peralta...but those guys are harder to find at the deadline.
Just started it.
