Considering Izzo took the air out of the ball with 6 minutes left and UM was the 4th rated team in the country and not a complete bunch of meatheads.
More satisfying IMO
Easily could have won by 40+ but Izzo has class
i only care about spartans --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqsAJQc-NCY
I would respectfully disagree. This was nice but 2000 was epic.
I agree. the 2000 team was terrible and we all knew it, sans Jamal Crawford. This UM team was held in high regard for playing nobody and it was annoying. Thorough domination from the tip. More satisfying to knock them down a thousand pegs.
Why? That team was garbage. This is the best team they've fielded in 20 years and they just got bitch slapped.
I agree, in 2000 Um was hapless tomato can......this was the effing No 1 team in the country two weeks ago.
"We'll play anyone, anyplace, anytime!" - Tom Izzo
Why compare? Both are equally FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Cartman licking tears)
I was thinking this the whole time. Love it.
This. Perhaps you have to be of a certain age to really appreciate the beat down in 2000. Everybody was just SO DAMN HAPPY. Instant bliss in every atom. During the game I got a hand job under the table, *then* a blowie in the alley outside the Peanut Barrel.

That is the only way this could have been better ( if UM was #1).
HAHA, I told a fellow Spartan at work that it would be a 51 point victory. I came up short, but this curbstomping was very entertaining.
Yeah, they are.
In 2000, there was probably a 10% - 15% chance we'd win by 30+. I don't think ANYONE could've predicted what happened tonight.
Dont underestimate Peter Vignier and Avery Queen
Everyone remember the front page, Sunday edition, above the fold headlines the following morning?
I'm on the side that this one is better. This is supposed to be the best UM team since the ones that never existed, and we still beat them like they were a team full of Avery Queens...
also, I watched this one at a bar in Ann Arbor

-1 because I don't have any.
watching Spike frantically press our walk ons to try to get to 50 points was the icing on the cake. that last 90 seconds was far more embarrassing than the previous 38 minutes for them. They were desperate to try and get the score a little closer
Spike Albrecht looked like a malnourished dog in that first half.
I loved it.
I would agree, and disagree at the same time with OP
Both games were f'n awesome. 114-63 is the epitome of an ass-kicking. But to win by 23, with the opportunity to win by 40+, that is equally as sweet
