Minnesota is falling hard and is now losing to iowa at home
That was a long time ago. Different teams.
Just beat them this week and errrything will be okay
Completely disagree. Minnesota played extremely well, their crowd was into it and teams play differently as the season goes on, especially when they lose a few games.
Also, Iowa played us really close.
Not saying I consider it a bad loss, it will just look like a bad loss in March.
They lost to NW by 7

Look at it this way: MSU got Minny at a bad time. It was the Big 10 opener, the Gophers were fresh and inspired, and the atmosphere in the Barn was New Years Eve festive and pumped up. Not trying to make excuses for the Spartans because they did let that game slip away, but the timing of the game did not benefit MSU.
I'm baffled by Minnesota. They have a talented team but just can't seem to put it together. They have to be considered one of the conference's most disappointing teams (so far).

But the win at Iowa is looking better by the day
4 states of being in the cannabis society ------------
Which one are you??
Scrappiest game I've seen all year
so mattyfresh and so clean
When don't we have a bad loss though? Last year to Northwestern and Illinois, wont even talk about 2011, Minnesota and Illinois in 2010, Penn State and Northwestern at home in 2009, Iowa, Penn State in 2008. We were just fine in those years except for 2010. Only once in that stretch were we seeded lower than 5. Point is I can't remember the last time we didnt have a bad loss, and we always do fine.
A "bad loss?"
Losing to an RPI top 25 team on the road will be considered a "bad loss" because that team is struggling to beat a rival at home?
Get the fuck out of here!
Road loss against #8 at the time
i only care about spartans --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqsAJQc-NCY
Even if Minny loses every remaining game, their RPI will be in the mid 40s.
We were losing to Illinois for over half the game a few days ago.
If Iowa gets this game it's HUGE for their NCAA chances. It makes up for the damage of losing @ PU and then some. They could easily get to 9-9, and then win one in the BTT and they should be golden.
Even if minny loses literally every game remaining the bubble is weak enough, and their RPI would be in the mid 40s with a top 10 SoS, that they should be a lock for the tourney.
People don't seem to understand the thread. Minnesota is on a downfall and with us most likely being a 2 seed...
It will look like a bad loss, especially if they lose here
If @ Minnesota is our worst loss of the year, we'll be sitting pretty.
You can't say bad loss/good win stuff until the end of the season really..."Miami, how did we lose to that shit team? Bad loss!" ORLY?

Fortunately for them, Illinois still exists . . .
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Even if they lose this one and a few more they will be pretty high in the RPI at the end of the season. It will not look like a bad loss.
minnesota wins, problem solved
damn, I really wanted to see Iowa in the tourney too
Another typical Iowa choke job.
Is the loss looking a little worse than it was two weeks ago? Sure, but nothing to worry about.
Now if we were to lose against that dumpster fire Purdue team, you can call that a bad loss.
