They had a rough early B1G season schedule. I think they can still win 6 more and if they can win won that they shouldn't have won, they have a shot.
Uconn 25 GERMANY
@ 2 Miami
@ 10 Minn
@ 11 Indiana
our losses and their current RPI rank

You are stupid.
And you are irate.
funny how people see things. I look at this game and think "that win at Iowa was pretty big"
winning on the road is hard no matter who the opponent is. Minny played their asses off in that game and deserved to win. and we're all seeing that Fran has turned this Iowa team around and they compete every game.
Minny is a lock for the tournament, we just caught them at a bad time. Be grateful they're struggling now, they're on deck. Today's game was exactly what we wanted: iowa drags Minny down to their nasty level, but the gophers eke out a phony win, so they're not desperate on Wednesday.
Vim -- noun: robust energy and enthusiasm : VITALITY
The Gophers will be lucky to be in the top 50 RPI in a couple weeks.
Winning at Iowa is a big win nowadays? LOL keep telling yourself that.
I see facts get in the way of your argument. Minny could lose LITERALLY every single game, and have an RPI of 34. They're 8 right now.
Minny has slipped, but with the exception of @NU, they more or less took care of business, and have a wonderful SoS.
math was clearly not your strong subject in school
Their RPI is meaningless. They are an average team and are fading fast. It was a bad loss.
ANY win on the road is a big win. ALL OF THEM. the point is that people were freaking out that we didn't beat them by 20, well guess what? they don't suck. And they also try to win the game.
and Minny will be a top 25 RPI because they'll win some games and lose a few more. as noted above, even if they lost every one from here on out they'd STILL be top 50. but i know...math r hard.
Legion of Doom - Unite!
It won't matter what it looks like. If we win our games, no one cares how it'll look come tourney time. Win the B1G and collect your #1 seed.
You have an average brain.
Has nothing to do with math. I thought they were closer to 25 rather than top 10 in RPI. I made a mistake. See what I did there. I admitted fault. Something your sunshine blowing ass needs to pay attention to.
They're not an average team (more athletic than 95% of teams), but something isn't right with them (maybe Tubby?). That being said, they're going to be a top 25, likely top 20 RPI. RPI is meaningless is saying which team will beat what team, but it's super important for seeding and tourney berth.
Even if they were 25, there was still a > 95% chance they would END the season with a Top 50 RPI.
You may have made a mistake as to what you thought it was, but you were plain wrong and uninformed as to how RPI works.
lol at caring about RPI
UCONN is 21. So that means it is not a bad loss? Minnesota is spiraling down and will be lucky to hold on to their 5 seed
It's all good because we played those teams tough and one was on another continent and the other was at Williams Arena. Losses on the road are always good according to some here.
Looks about the same as it always did. Sagarin computer still has Minnesota rated ahead of MSU at 11th in the country.
We have wins over two top 10 teams and 4 more games (at least) against top 10. The story of this season is just beginning.
this post uses logic and reasoning -- it has no place here.
"Spiraling down"? I thought they just beat Iowa.
You trolls make me dizzy.
Thank you, Denicos.
The loss to UCONN ultimatly means nothing. Assuming we don't win the B1G outright, the teams we will be competiing with for seeding will all have a MINNesque loss on their schedule. We'll likely have better wins.
And if we do win the B1G outright, and get the 4th 1 seed, do you really care?
