Meanwhile, a team we've beaten in the regular season each of the last three years is going for the third straight trip, despite a 7-5 regular season. They've come up big when they had to, but man, there's a horseshoe up the Wisconsin program's collective ass.
Would it kill the football gods to smile on us sometime in the next 25 years?
exactly what I thought the second I spotted this thread.
Was engaged to be married. The fiancee didn't want to fly out with me, said "I'll go to the next one". Would have been a nice 25th anniversary present to go to Pasadena.
Thanks for that, OP.
I'm 24. Missed it by 8 months.
I was at the last one. I went because I didn't know the next time I would get the chance.
Sorry. I just can't stop shaking my head that the Vadgers are heading back there again. The circumstances these past three years that led them to get three straight were incredible. I just can't believe the stars haven't aligned for us once in 25 years. Part of it is just my mood after memories of being in Indy last year.
This is why when we go to 16-20 schools MSU should want out of any Chicago based midwest pod of our traditional rivals who suck all the good recruits away from us. I want to play GT, Rutgers, Ohio State, and Penn State every year.
I started my freshman year at State in the Fall of '88...
Big deal. I started my freshman year in the Fall of '67. Think of what I just missed out on.
(and have endured ever since)
I read the news today, oh boy .. ..
About a lucky man who made the grade
I understand the Rose Bowl is a contractual sellout but does Wisconsin have trouble selling its allotment since this is their third year in a row? Or because its the Rose Bowl they'll for sure sell out all their tickets?
I was in third grade. This year, my oldest is in third grade. I thought for sure it was meant to be...

December 3rd, 2011 is going to become more and more painful with each passing year, at least it is for me.

I think all of us will remember where we were. That was a tragedy for our fanbase as it relates to outcomes of games. I don't remember the GA Tech date or Kansas City debacle (young) but I'll remember ND in the rain, Dantonio's first game with UM just below 12/3/11.
Come on man...its stanford vs wisky, a true tv ratings nightmare
This is why we need to jettison this POS league. F#*K the B1G

at all the old folks who romanticize the rose bowl. Just another meaningless bowl game

Can't remember the last B1G Rose Bowl representative that we weren't superior to, so The Rose Bowl really doesn't matter all that much to me anymore.

Or we could have beaten them in the championship game. There's that.
"I didn't really want to bang that hot blonde in the bar who blew me off anyway."
Your pronoun usage makes baby Jesus cry.
If you had told me in 1988 that wusconsin would go to the Rose Bowl (at least) five times before we'd make another one, I'd have had a good long laugh in your face.
Our administration has to get serious about this, starting with firing roushar.

In what way did Wisconsin's admin "get serious" about their program? By hiring Bret Bielema?
