There has been ZERO improvement over the course of the season. I know we had a lot of injuries on the OL and all, but damn, no positions with the small exception of the WR's have improved over the season. Maxwell has regressed, the OL has not jelled, Bell is the only RB worth a shit.
At the end of the day the responsibility lies with Coach D and he should be held accountable.

And the donor base is going to listen to you?
You think Dantonio doesn't realize the scrutiny has started?
Who the hell is Dantoino?
A year from now we will know if MSU has a respectable football program, or if they just had a couple nice seasons when scum and osu were down.
I want to love coach D as much as I did a year ago, but this off season could define his career at MSU
So the news you're breaking here is that the head coach is ultimately responsible for the performance of his football team? Amazing!!!
I wasn't saying that, smart ass, but you can only blame the OC for so long before you have to blame the person above him.
I agree 100000%!
"Come and take them"
This staff just doesn't know how to prepare for bowl games. Plain to see.
Being schooled by a staff that is better at prep and a program that cares more about bowl games. Going to end in getting your ass whipped each and every time.

Agreed - they need to try something f'en different...it's ridiculous how NOTHING has changed throughout the course of the season.
Also Patterson is a hell of a coach..could have taken bigger and better jobs but stuck it out with TCU..
This is on the head coach. Their team looks way more prepared for what we are doing on both sides of the ball than we do for them.
Dude, the responsibility lies with coach D at the end of every day, and every game.
Doesn't matter if he realizes it if he doesn't solve the problem. D minded coach needs a good OC, but doesn't have one.
I respect this take.
Players are accountable. Coaches are accountable. Fire Roushar he absolutely blows.
Do receivers catch balls for a good OC?
If you don't have the players, you have to TRY something. This whole season seems like settling.
I AM KIND, SMART, POWERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, TERRIFIC, AND TREMENDOUS
Patterson must be laughing to himself at the softball of preparation he got served up for this game.
Guinness makes you drop mud.
Are OCs responsible for the organization and overall play of the offense?
I don't blame the 19 year old that's being put in a position to fail, I blame the 50 year old that put him there. There were guys that we knew after Boise couldn't play the position, yet this staff continued to put them out there. If that's the best they had, then that's an issue too. Recruit better.

Dig up the Georgia thread.
Worst f'ing MSU team play on offense I have seen since Muddy. No disrespect to Muddy meant, RIP.
This program has progressed so far from the JLS era, and to see it falter this far because of crappy offensive coaching is beyond me.
And yet, Rousher is "tucked under my wing".
WTF is up with that?!?!

bumping my own thread. thanks for putting maxwell back in coach
