It's hard to imagine a team that is more mentally weak than this MSU Spartan team. Bonehead penalties, inexplicable breakdowns in pass coverage, etc. They think they're a lot better than they are....more concerned with doing the "We gotta eat" dance than doing their job.
I don't blame the students or anyone else for not showing up, this team isn't worth it, and they don't deserve it.
This is Year 6, and there is no discipline, and they are NOT a tough team...in fact, can you name any team in the country that shits down it's leg more often than this MSU team? Pathetic.
Prepared to get downvoted by the group of sunshine blowing idiots...just saying
Haters gonna hate!
There is no discipline. No fumdamentals. Complete coaching fail. they should give back their raises.
Is Gholston still a 1st rounder?! How about Adams? Lol, what a joke...
The sad part is that those 2 are the quickest to jump up and celebrate after giving up a 5 to 8 yard gain, and do their stupid little dances. Both are good players, but both have glaring weaknesses and breakdowns. They act like they're NFL Hall of Famers, and neither is even in the discussion for All-B1G.
Point on. Our star players Gholston and Adams had average seasons. Spielman nailed #2 in his description. Adams unfortunately has disappointed consistently almost like a sophmore season. But what can you do as a fan but watch and sit in disappointment... The talent is there but failed to consistently show.
This season is such a disappointment on so many aspects. Call it youth on the offense, injuries, mistakes... whatever you will. To win in Madison and then give a game of this magnitude away at home should pretty much sum it up. We are another average MSU team that shows glimpses of hope and unfortunately examples of stupidity.
You will understand how good Adams has been next year.
It has no killer instinct. The coaching staff has been atrocious thhis yr and we are gwtting taken to the woodshed in recruiting by UM and OSU even after our 2 year success.
I have an MBA...Master at Being Amazing
Exactly. Its amazing he's only been beat a handful of times considering hes on an island 95% of the time. There isn't a DB alive that doesn't get burned and its pathetic how many people are so fucking quick to pile on Johnny. Hes a great player and we're certainly gonna miss him when hes gone
I wish they would show discipline and act like they've done it before, but for some reason, this need to showboat has become all too common in college sports. Why is it is not enough to just make the plays and get a few fist bumps from teammates? Why is there this need to showboat and humiliate the opposition? Don't they realize that the opponent will just get pissed and work that much harder to get revenge? You don't demoralize your opponent by showboating, you do it by making it seem like it is perfectly normal to win each battle. I can't stand showboating and I despise undisciplined play - especially those morons who think they are bad asses and have to push and shove after every damn play or take cheap shots. It's infuriating.

Give them NOTHING but take from them EVERYTHING.
Don't know how to win.
That includes dumb penalities, failure to score TD's when its 1st and goal, missing FG's and failing to play solid defense in the last 2 minutes in 3 or the last 4 games.
Coach D is preparing these guys for the NFL. J5 will be replaced by redshirt frosh Robinson or Trae Waynes. Neither will play up to J5's capability next year.
Give it a rest unless you have never failed in amything you have done in school, your career and you were on undefeated teams.
These guys just lack something. Might be they convinced themselves that they had arrived when the rest of the league failed to notice. What ever it is, winning teams catch passes in crunch time, make FG's and make stops in the last 2 minutes.
Nailed it. Every single fucking word nailed it.

It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Spartan!!!!
That's the sad part. MSU six years later should have the talent to reload. We are well into Coach D's tenure posting back to back 11 win seasons and building our depth. MSU needed players like J5 to take it to the next level to really put them out front. Gholston is another player that disappeared and reappeared showing glimpses of what he could do this year. A lot of things contagious this year with MSU football starting with the attitude and weak mental part of the game. Blame it on injuries, lack of experience, youth, coaches... whatever. Just a big disappointment.
