Kobernus is faster than Berry.
It's been done before. By a Spartan no less.
I am gravely disappointed. Again you have made me unleash my dogs of war.

You must be his father.
McClendon was so good last year that the Tigers had to call up Toby Harrah to be a second hitting coach in the middle of the season. He's only the staff because he's a Leyland Pittsburgh buddy. That embarrassment Lamont has finally been removed from 3rd base, and Lloyd is the last vestige of cronyism left that continues to hurt this team.

Opti can legally order and sit at a table for four .... Only if he leaves 2-3 personalities at home, of course.
You know nothing about baseball. Zip
Lemme guess, you were one of the clucks defending what a great job Lamont did, and how it was the baserunners fault they were getting thrown out at the plate by 20 feet.
Did you ever find that left handed throwing second baseman you were telling me about?
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
What do you consider a whole bunch?
Last year we didn't have a single player bat .160 or under unless you want to include 38 at bats between Matt Young, Omir Santos and Brandon Inge.
In 2011, we didn't have a single player under .200 except for Inge's .197.
No I really don't think that many baseball games are decided by two coaches who sit on their asses for 90% of the game and have extremely little to do with anything actually happening in the game.
Anecdotal examples like "Well remember that one time that Lamont sent home Magglio and he got thrown out by a bunch" are pretty much useless. The mere fact that you blame every player's failures on the hitting coach yet ignore the fact that we had a guy who won the GD Triple Crown last year is quite telling. You can't just pick and choose to make your argument easier
We had the sixth highest team OPS in MLB last year, but I'm sure that doesn't count either. FIRE MCCLENDON
Bottom line, the players win the games, the coaches have little input

This is where I see both sides. I agree that plate discipline is on him and he never got smart about it. I also don't like the swing changes that were made and that was coaching. Oh well. Sun came out today. Good luck to him.
C'mon, everyone knows Jose Valverde's inability to throw a strike was all on Jeff Jones.....
Ok, pick the most lethal swing in the history of baseball.
Now couple it with shitty plate disciple and the inability to tell the difference between a strike from a ball three feet off the plate.
What do you get?
Brennan Boesch with Roy Hobbs swing and a .225 BA
"Shitty plate discipline could be corrected with a better hitting coach. I firmly expect Boesch to be like Chris Shelton, Clete Thomas, Will Rhymes, Brandon Inge and a host of others who sucked here, left, and then got way better."

Don't forget Casper Wells. That guy is just waiting to blow up as soon as he gets his 3rd year away from Lloyd.
MLB is full of guys with pretty swings who can crush a fastball. If only pitchers threw just fastballs...
Really, then why did the Tigers fire Rick Knapp during the middle of the season two years ago?
Dear Mr. Illitch
Coaches really don't matter, you can save all the money you're paying McClendon. Anyone can do his job. I hereby volunteer to be the Tigers hitting coach. You don't have to pay me, just give me the road trip per diems and set me up with hookers.
I think you're on to something here. McClendon should be fired based solely on the obvious drop off in production that proven players like Fielder, Cabrerra, and Martinez showed since they arrived in Detroit.
OT, I'm glad other posters have come around and are sportin' the rocking 247 logo.

Why you so mad bro? I agree plate discipline is his fault. I believe I said as much. I also said he had a beautiful swing before they screwed it up.
And by the way, Reggie Jackson had the most lethal swing. Same swing for 20 years. Most strikeouts ever too. Ever hear of Dave Winfield?
Go have some ice cream and relax, kid. Its just baseball. Sun be out tomorrow too I hope.
You and Ross should form a gang.
Hurting this team so much they made the world series last season, you're a putz.
