I would second this opinion if I had one.
"I love March!" - Tom Izzo
Timmy needs to pay attention to this:
I read the news today, oh boy .. ..
About a lucky man who made the grade
I don't always defend Timmy but when I do I remind folks of Dantonio...which he scooped.
I’ve added vaginas to my family plan
What a moron! Geez, it means he hasn't made up his mind yet, that's what's "going on." He has until the 28th. This isn't a contract negotiation or a holdout. I can't believe this dip has any sports credibility. He's as bad as some posters on here.
So that makes it okay for him to mislead the masses with his ridiculous tweet about Payne?
Did I say that?
Nope. I just didn't see any reason to put in a post defending him, or talking about defending him, today. I evaluate case by case and a post referencing scooping Dantonio in 2007 has no relevance to what he's doing today.
I'd bet that's motivated by the station. Staudt does pretty much as little as he possibly can and outside of the office if it's not a see and be seen dinner, a golf outing or a function of some kind where he can shake hands and shoot the shit then he's not interested in it. Not really sold that he'd just hop on Twitter all on his own.
His dad had a place in Charlevoix that was sold a few years ago.
He also "scooped" Mason to AD early and his worst was when he was snot nosed recent grad sports anchor at Channel Six/Lansing and "broke" Duffy's retirement after being told in confidence and the person telling him believed Timmy had ethics.
A lot of Timmy's longevity in Lansing had to do with his father who left his MSU position as a full professor to become the marketing manager/VP for the Chevrolet Division of GM. That's why Timmy's sports segments were always sponsored Bud Kouts.
How can you listen to him? The real crime is you listening to him.
Well, he did make Duffy Daugherty and Brian Ottney cry, so he he'll always have that to be proud of....
He always makes the Sunday LSJ that much worse. He doesn't come across as a sports guy. When he thinks he's right or funny, he will alway repeat the same comment over and over again. Annoying.
The way he tells the Duffy retirement story is a little different. He claims he was told at a bar by an assistant who had a couple too many.
He did make sure to tell the world before Duffy could though...
He also "scooped" Magic to Michigan.
I remember seeing him on the 11:00 news a few years ago "reporting" on a game as if he had actually covered it, whereas I knew for a fact that the closest he got to the game was occasionally glancing at the TV at Dusty's Pub where he was talking up a prospective sponsor.
Tim does most of his "best" investigative reporting in bars.
Maybe that's how he got Magic wrong; he should have been hanging out at Quality Dairy instead.
