"Young's high school coach, E.C. Robinson, told the Detroit Free Press that he and Young spoke at Christmas, and the second-year pro out of Boise State had some pretty interesting viewpoints.
“He did tell me he thought he was just as good Megatron,” Robinson said, according to the paper. “I said, ‘Titus, come on.' I said, ‘Come on, man. Who you talking to?' I said, ‘Come on, you're as good as that guy? This guy is the real deal.' And he really believes this. And he was sincere about it. ‘Ah man, I'm better than him.' I said, ‘No you're not. Be real man. Come on.' So I don't know, I'm hoping for the best for him.”
He had every chance to prove it and burned it all down. Once again, all talk.
Reading those quotes makes it just seem like two guys chatting though so I can't really hold the context against him, but I think we all know he's not.

He should be put in an insane asylum

Oh, well that is certainly a fair and honest appraisal of his skillset.
Reminded me of the Seinfeld episode when George is comparing himself to Ted Danson.
He is such an embarassment... so glad he isn't from MSU
If you can do a half-assed job of anything, you're a one-eyed man in a kingdom of the blind.

Titus needs to put down the pipe.
A man's gotta eat!
Come on, man. Come on. Ah, man.
Haha what a delusional loser!!
Biggest laugh I've had in a long time.
This explains a lot.
"I'm gonna go home, I'm gonna sit down with my friends and family and hell, I might even get on top of my wife tonight. See y'all later!"
I believe him. What has he ever done before to call into question his integrity?
Titus can take his amazing talent to another team prove everyone wrong by setting the CFL on fire.
How did they not realize this guy is a head case when drafting him? It would have been apparent after about 2 minutes of conversation.
Mayhew & Schwartz: "Our plan is to use you as a replacement for Nate Dogg. At first you'll play some slot and contribute marginally and we'll slowly work you into the offense while Calvin is double teamed. Sound good?"
Young Jr. Sr. III: "Naw man I'm takin it to da zone erry play no whad I'm sayin? Just gimme da ball and I go HAM. Megaman be my decoy and I make the Randy ratio look like 10% feel me?"
You really think his former coach would say this to a reporter if it was just "two guys chatting". He even said at the end of the quote that Titus really believes this. Why would a former coach throw him under the bus like this if he didn't feel that Titus was 100% serious?
edited for actual quote.
Young burned the db deep had had perfectly thrown balls to him dropped how many times during the season? Dude had at least 5 big play drops, sure doesn't help his argument. Also, Titus, you've never played vs. the other team's top CB for more than a few plays per game, buddy.
This guy really is insane. People laughed at Andre Rison for predicting he'd be the best ever WR, but at least he could kinda back it up. Titus was the number three wr on a bad team. plus didn't he have a case of the drops this season? He obviously has no business saying this crap, I just wonder what's going through his head.
If Titus doesn't change his attitude, he'll be the number 1 receiver for a team in the Arena League.
Well, Megatron can't hold a candle to Young's ability to self-destruct.

What pisses me off is that the Lion organization did not eliminate him as a draft pick. Did they not interview him? Oh right, they hired outside draft evaluations. Draft C rogers knowing he would not return punts for his team and his history of poor decisions. Draft running back with history of concussions. What a worthless organization.
The amount of delusion this guy has rivals people believing there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, people believing Obama is a Muslim, and Scientologists.
Chill out. I'm sure he was coached up like crazy by his agent. This happens to every organization in the NFL.
There is no reason to take a chance on this guy.
i'm better than titus young.
You chill out sunshine blower. "this happens to every organization in the NFL". No organization anywhere eles is an inept as the Lions.
