I loved when Appling drew the offensive foul on Burke. One of the best plays all night.
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
A better question yet, why are you on our board questioning our disdain for SCum? Shouldn't you be off somewhere crying in your kid's milk?

The will to succeed is important, but what's more important is the will to prepare.
I have no problem with Burke. He plays hard, rarely talks trash and does so while having to dress like a highlighter for 4 months out of the year. I also have no problem with the fact that B_______'s vaunted offense attempted 0 entry passes into the post last night so the offense basically consisted of Trey dribbling incessantly and/or shooting highly contested fade away threes.
Just watched this play on DVR and Appling definitely leaned back/left to draw contact. Not a dirty play by any stretch of the imagination. Should have gotten the and 1 call though
Isn't that enough?
That's how I saw it.
I have to agree. We shouldn't label Burke a dirty player just for one play. Kind of like how your fanbase shouldn' t have incessantly wailed and cried about Gholston's one "dirty play".

No, I think that the undercut, made it look like Appling was leaning. Burke chased Appling around a screen and was BEHIND Appling when he went up for the shot. At best, if you really want to give Burke the benefit of the doubt, he didn't expect Appling to pull up so quickly and his momentum carried him into Appling.
Either way, the charge was legit to everyone except Tirico. Shameful homerism there. That was really the point where Tirico's frustration crept in, grasping for straws. "Come on, that didn't impact the play". Umm, what? Burke had the ball. That WAS the play. It wasn't away from the ball. If Appling goes for a steal there and grabs Burke's wrist, is that not a foul? Anything goes in the back court because it's 70 feet from the basket?
Not if you're fucking Magic Johnson a wooden award front runner--
They've been gassing us up about Burke all season... he was basically non existent. I can't think of one outstanding play he made that just totally owned any of our players or set the table for a run or anything.
He scored sure... but didn't do shit to help his team.
I think it was a foul, but there was nothing dirty about that. Keith leaned into him to generate contact and he ducked and put his hands up to get out of the way. Not dirty IMHO....

I think we win by only 18 in Ann Arbor.
He looked pretty frustrated throughout most of the 2nd half. Most of it was directed at his own team but I could see him getting pissed with Hardaway and a few others basically standing around on offense.
Let's calm down. They'll undoubtedly take a step back without Burke, but they have another good class coming in next year, which includes Burke's replacement Derrick Walton. If THJ goes then they might fall into the middle of pack, but with him they're competing for the Big Ten again next year.
I was hoping for GR3 to go too but that doesn't look very likely now.
Burke is a bitch because he plays for Michigan but he's a very good player who plays hard. I see nothing dirty about the way he plays. If he wasn't a bitch I'd love to have him on our team.
Rarely talks trash? Isn't this the guy who told Appling to "Get the f**k off my court," last year at Crisler? He also ran his mouth all football season at MSU and even cut down our loss to Miami earlier this season.
Edit: I was thinking of Morris. My fault.

I disagree with this. The kid can play and doesn't look dirty.
This country was built by people who worked hard then went home and had just a few too many every night. Then went back to work.
Some Buckeye like Craft would have undercut Burke like Burke did to Appling and you'd be crying like a little sister.
Burke was frustrated and pulled a bush move.
Sorry you are wrong on this one grr. He was good on that play.
Very good player. Even last night, still hitting tough/crazy/long shots like usual. Even when it didn't seem to matter anymore.
That was two years ago and it was Darius Morris.
he should be gone now: after watching Noels knee implode last night it has to make him real nervous. And it should.
This and he is ready.
You're right - that was Morris. Sorry.
Trash talk is fun and part of sports. It doesn't make you a bad guy at all. I can think of one guy (Alan woods) I never talked to and that was only because he hated that you wouldn't respond. Off the field he is a very nice guy.
yeah, that wasn't burke....kid is damn good and damn near a mute.
