He got 3 five stars and a 4 star in this class - 3 of whom were top 15 players
Oh they still have first round picks on this team. It's the NBA. Some dumb ass GM would gladly take Noel, Poythress or Goodwin in the Top 20 if the draft was tomorrow just on potential or a 30 minute workout. This crop just doesn't have the drive to win at the college level like the last crop did. Pretty obvious when they're losing to Texas A&M and Alabama. Kentucky fans are going to have to accept this. Sometimes they will get a crop that wants to win a title like last year's. Other times they'll have a crop like this or the one with Wall, Cousins, Bledsoe and Patterson that didn't even make the Final Four. It's impossible to be consistent when you're rolling in four or five new starters every single year. If Big Blue Nation can't accept this then it's going to be very frustrating for them.

I hate Cal as much as the next guy, but in his defense he did recruit all of them. Of course, recruiting at Kentucky is about as easy as recruiting at Indiana, and there were probably some shenanigans involved...
I think that Cal being one of the top coaches in the country was thrown around a lot since last year's title. He has only won anything (and had it vacated) when he's got shady things going on. That he can't motivate that many talented players to play kind of puts to rest all of that nonsense that we had to deal with last year. You can't just plop down a new team of freshmen every year and expect titles. At this point he's got to just hope that some of them leave so he'll have room for his next class.
Good points. I hope they continue to fail solely so we can see how he navigates the overcrowding issue. Eff him.
It's fun watching them fail, but we all know they'll make the tournament if only on name and I certainly wouldn't want to run into them as a 10 or 12 seed. The kids might decide to put in some actual effort come March with their 6 month college careers coming to an end.
The bubble is also setting up to be even worse than last year. Purdue and Iowa will still have shots to get in, albeit difficult ones. They will likely get in, but it's a bad sign that they have turned to the 3 point gunner as the go to guy. Yikes.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
Wasn't Cal after Byrd? I wonder if he'd be getting minutes. Lol.
Drunky Gillispie didn't get them into the tournament. Cal isn't guaranteed a berth either.
