I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they lost every single one of those away games. I don't think it's likely, but it wouldn't surprise me. This Michigan team looks good and has a lot of talent, but they're largely untested. I wish the slurpers would just admit that and leave it the fuck alone until we're a few more weeks into conference play.
So you're saying that those games having an outcome wouldn't surprise you.
Thank you very much for this brilliant addition to the thread.
Highly doubt it. I see us going 1-1. Win at home and lose on the road
You're a dumbass. They're going to lose some of those road games. That is pretty much a given. Looking at that schedule, they have the potential to lose all of them, but I don't think that's likely to happen. I would not be surprised if they lost all those games, but I would be fucking shocked if they won all of them. Is that so hard to understand?
They can probably handle Wisconsin. There's no way in hell they'll bring down OSU or Indiana on the road. I'd give them a 30% chance against Minnesota, a 40% chance against Illinois, and a 45% chance against MSU. They haven't tested themselves away from Crisler, and it's going to show.

No he's saying that losses in any and/or all of those tough road games wouldn't surprise him.
Look at all these butthurt trolls coming out in full force for UM in this thread. Why don't you win a tournament game before you come on here talking shit to us?
That guy is a nut case. He's some Canadian kid that lives on the blue board. He's messaged me tons and tons of times about basically anything having to do with MSU sucking. He's obsessed with MSU and will degrade us at any chance.
He's not from Michigan or even the United States. Yet, somehow this kid has developed an unreasonable hatred for Michigan State as a university, an athletic program, and all of the alumni associated with MSU. I just don't get it. Strange, strange stuff.
He also PMed me that our basketball team was shit compared to theirs and our football team was shit compared to theirs. Seems like he's not arrogant at all.
How fucking thick are you? If losing on the road to the #12 team in the rpi is a "bad loss" then a lot of teams are going to have shitty resumes in March.
Is miami great? No. They are going to be tough at home as long as their best player isnt suspended like he was for their first 4 games.
This has got to be a blue boarder that has come here with a new name because he's scared of downvotes.
Let me guess, you're mrwoodson, mriderblue, xxxmgobluexxx, or one of their little followers? Come on man. We've had these conversations before.
You are likely a complete f'ing loser that makes 30k a year wearing your UM hoodie to the factory everyday. You don't have anything on any of us and none of us are your, "little bro". I own you. I'm superior to you in every way from looks to money to socioeconomic status to education to my career. You are nothing but a modern day ditch digger here to perform a job to support those that make this economy go 'round. You are just our support because you don't have the brain power or work ethic to make more of your life. You are here to serve us MSU grads in our professional jobs. Now go make me a sandwich you pathetic pile of garbage.

Or make the sweet sixteen without paying players. Has that happened in their history?
Paying or not, the last time was 1995. That was in-between paying the fab five and the bullock crew so im sure the 1995 squad was on salary.
Per Sagarin, MSU has played 3 more difficult games than any UM has played, two of them by a wide margin.
MSU's 6 toughest games to date
94.84 Minnesota (91.28+3.56)
89.84 Miami (86.28+3.56)
81.45 BoiseState (85.01-3.56)
74.90 Texas (78.46-3.56)
UM's 6 toughest games to date
81.47 NCState (85.03-3.56)
81.29 Northwestern (77.73+3.56)
79.19 Iowa (82.75-3.56)
75.78 Arkansas (79.34-3.56)
I would imagine Pitt will drop after there 2 losses they've incurred. Ouch. I didn't know their schedule was quite that weak.
Seems about right. I would have to say NC State is a better opponent than UCONN after watching them play each other. Still pissed we lost to them.
Pitt's non conference sched was weak at historic levels. Michigan was the only good team they played. Most weren't even at mid major level.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
at least try harder lil Walvie next time you try to come up with Fake name.
Yeah and we lost three of them.
I'm as surprised as anyone, but UM is a top-5 team in the country and the look CLEARLY like the best team in the B1G. I think that will change, but I have a deep-rooted hatred for UM.
Sagarin agrees, but home/neutral/road point adjustment would say that a neutral game vs UConn is harder than a home game vs NCSU.
I really don't see Michigan as a legitimate top 5 team. Duke and Arizona are legit top 5 teams right now. Nobody else has enough quality wins to separate themselves from the rest of the top 25.
That isn't to say I don't think they could potentially be that good, but they are where they are because of their preseason ranking and the media hype around Hardaway Jr. and Glen Robinson. Time will tell if they deserve that ranking, but thus far no one besides Duke and Arizona have really proved they deserve a top 5 ranking.
Arizona has pulled so many wins out of their ass its crazy. They got a complete gift against Colorado and then almost lost to Utah (read: awful) at home
So should the rankings go
3. (No one)
4. (No one)
5. (No one)
Michigan almost lost to Pitt, and they haven't beaten anyone more impressive than Florida or SDSU. Arizona has done much more to prove themselves than Michigan.
T-25. Everyone else
SDSU is good? Who have they beat?
Some people on here think that strength of schedule= quality of team
They're ranked higher than NC State and they beat a very talented UCLA squad. That isn't the point though. Arizona has beaten 2 ranked teams. Hell, Illinois and Butler have each beaten two top-ten teams. I'm not saying they're a bad team, but I'm saying they've done nothing so far to prove they deserve their ranking.
