Also, he can only pay "most" of his bills. Dude needs to get his financials in order.
Your a retard.
I also work at a non-profit, helping people with disabilities find and maintain employment. I enjoy what I do and feel I'm making a difference by my efforts. We're a large company with a family-like atmosphere.

Are you a new mod? Anyway, +1 for your thoughts and I PM'd you.
not at all new...and I don't have any PM's
I guess Im not smart enough to get that off the ground.
If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day.
If yall could just expand to Middle Tennessee....Im ready to roll.
wow, the douchiness is heavy on the board today.
I still think you are the head football coach of Middle Tennessee State and threw in all that engineering crap to throw us off the trail.
It is conceivable. Possible. Plausible.
And Id take that gig in a minute.
This...eff this hole. I'm going back to school for a better degree as soon as my wife gets a new job.
GatorBill is really, really good people. How many foster children do you have currently living with you? I am guessing nowhere near what GB does.

double check: just sent a few minutes ago
haha. Good point!
I know there are so many people that have it worse off than I do. I just hate that I am wanting and willing to do so much more and cannot find it.
And I would rather be doing something that helps others. Right now I design stuff that really is not making a difference in the world. Kind of sucks. It must be "venting day" or something. haha
What a coincidence. I have a disability and struggle to maintain employment.
I know yall dont want me to open up a case of pity party here. hahaha.
tMrs and I are pretty responsible people, you can trust that they are in order as best that they can. I dont want you worrying that Im being a slacker.
got it, response sent
1 but I am in a very unique situation now. I was at the same company for 11 years and my job was really starting to weigh on me. There was no room for advancement, we were not allowed any time off during the holidays and my company was bought out which changed the young and fun place to work instantly.
I now work for my wife (hear me out) and besides dealing with our employees who are not very bright, I absolutely love it. They hired a guy to run the company back in July of 2012. In late October they found out be was embezzling a ton of money from the practice. They called him on it and he killed himself even though they promised to not go to the police if he signed something saying he would pay them back. So my wife and her two partners obviously didn't trust anyone else to come in and do the job. Both of her partners convinced me it would be a good idea to come on and take over his job.
So the pros are
- I make better money now which is odd because the more money they pay me, the less my wife brings home.
- I work 4 days a week. - I do some very light work on Fridays and weekends depending on what day of the month the end of month falls on.
- They have 4 offices and each work at the same office one week out of the month so I don't actually work with my wife.
- I am only in the office 2 days a week working from home the rest of the time.
The cons are
- Some of the employees are dumb as hell. We have very few hourly employees but they have to turn their hours in to me for payroll. One of them turns her time sheet in using .25 hours as 30 minutes. Now that tax season is here they are all asking for different forms to file their taxes and are making up names of the forms. "I need my W11 so i can do my taxes" "Do you have our W4's yet ?" I realize these are both actual forms but are not really what they are looking for.
5. Love the company (full disclosure my dad is the CEO), love the pay, love my future opportunities for advancement, can barely tolerate the people that work around me. I'm 23, they're all lower class desk jockey lifers that gave up on caring 20 years ago. They bitch about everything, and are wrong 95% of the time.
Oh well, short term pain for long term gain I guess.
Remind yourself. Nobody built like you, you design yourself.
Probably about a 2 or 3. Tax season is the only negative, but I make good money during it. I'm self-employed, which is the biggest positive, being your own boss. Negative would be no employer sponsored healthcare, but Obamacare is is going to creash the system so we'll see.
Once you've been your own boss for a while, it's tough to work for someone else.
My hate goes to 11.
I'm probably a 3 or 4 most of the time. My boss can be a real loudmouth pain in the ass but work stays at work for the most part. Can't say I get much satisfaction from work but it affords me and my family time and money to do the things we want. Overall it's probably the best job I've had but I've only been in it 2 years...
For me, the most important thing is having a good boss.
I could have a crappy job, working for a crappy company; but if I have a good boss, it can be a lot of fun.
On the other hand, I could have my dream job, working for a great company; but if I have a bad boss, I would be miserable.
