Johnny has struggled big time. Not just that but hes just not big enough. Hes not just short but way to thin.
He hasn't struggled "big time." Based on what?
He has the same size and frame as he did last year when he had a great season, so I can't buy that.
"RCMB: You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainry." - some dude from MgoBlog
Darqueze is coming back!
johnny went from 5th round to undrafted after that flop he commited... what an embarrassment
“We’ll play anybody, anyplace, anytime. It doesn’t matter, morning, noon or night, and it doesn’t matter who it is.” - Tom Izzo
The draft weighs heavily on combine results and we all know gholston is going to shatter perceptions of B1G DE's at the combine. If he shows up at all he should blow up the numbers. Pro scouts will be drooling over the kid. Keep in mind dontari Poe went in the first and he was a nobody prior to the combine.
Lol you have no idea what gholston benches or runs in the forty. Despite his size hes pretty average in the weight room and hes not that explosive
I am more surprised at how weak this draft is offensively overall. The supposed no.1 overall picks geno smith, and barkley are terrible against good teams. There is no RB worthy of being drafted in the 1st round. If lattimore didn't get injured he could go there, but now i doubt he even gets drafted. And the only WRs that are a lock for 1st round are lee and woods.
Though this draft is loaded with Defensive talent especially at DL
This hurts us with Bell and Sims, but may actually help us with our defensive juniors. I don't think any of us really take seriously the idea of Dennard or Bullough going pro, but, hey, Baker went pro, so you never know what's going through the minds or the lives of these players.
Isn't Lee a true sophomore and not eligible for the draft? Kid from Tennessee will be another WR who goes in round one, towards the back end though.
Go Bears, Blackhawks, White Sox, and Pioneers.
Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand
I don't think this changes anything. Everyone knew bullough or allen weren't gonna leave. I also think no one really thought dennard was leaving anyway. If anything, this might make gholston come back because his stock has dropped and this drafted is loaded with DL (There are 5 DL projected to go in the top 10 slot).
BTW baker left because he had a kid, and he knew if he had stayed behind bell he might not get drafted. Sure he is on the practice squad, but he is still making more money than we can make in 10 years.
Yea Justin Hunter, forgot about him...but I think he falls. Yes you are right about lee, true Soph. My bad. But this draft has soooo many DL and OL its ridiculous
As a bears fan I hope either barrett jones falls to us or we draft Eiffert
"Sure he is on the practice squad, but he is still making more money than we can make in 10 years. "
speak for yourself, if you cant make 230k in 10 years then I feel bad for you.
stop trolling. Anyone who dosn't think he's explosive is a trolling scum fan.

I think he was refering to Da'Rick Rogers
I don't think it's worth drafting a RB in the first round. I think Barner is better than Lattimore but with how often RB's get hurt and how quickly they are out of the league I would never draft a single RB before the 4th round personally.
This WR class is going to be really good. I love Patterson and Hunter on Tennessee, Keenan Allen is a freaking stud, and Tavon Austin I think will make a great pro. Not to mention the best offensive player is ineligible for the draft in Marquise Lee. That kid would be #1 overall for sure if he were a junior and not a soph.
The only position that is really weak in this draft is the most important...QB. I don't really like any of them. Aaron Murray is probably my favorite, but I wouldn't pick him in the 1st round. I think Matt Barkley and Geno Smith are awful. Barkley has the two best WR ever on a single college football team and still manages to fuck up big games. Geno Smith, well his numbers are worthless to look at because of Dana Holgerson. I have watched 4-5 of his games and I just don't see a starting NFL QB.
What about Collin Klein?
Not draftable. He's not fast, he doesn't have a great arm, and really isn't a QB. I might take him in the 7th round if I were looking for a TE.
Anyone who takes Sims in the 2-3 round is going to be very dissapointed. The kid has 27 receptions, 345 yds, 2 tds and is very injury prone.
Yes but he is a very very good blocker. I have read somewhere that sims' greatest asset is his blocking ability. Ofcourse he isn't jason witten with his catching abilities, but he is a solid blocker and power run teams like bears, texans, and SF requires solid blocking TE. Not to mention he has very good hands (unlike someone...*cough cough pettigrew). Also he is projected to be 2nd or 3rd rounder because the TE market just isn't very good this year in the draft. I mean the only TE that is a consensus high draft pick is eiffert. Other than that Fauria, and Ertz are the only two that MAY be drafted in the first 3 rounds.

Well the minimum salary for practice squad player is around 6000 a week. So if you add it up, that about 24K a month...times it by 12 and you get about 300K a year...Even doctors dont make that much. I guess 10 years was an exaggeration, but practice squad players make more than enough money to compensate for them and their family for years to come if they make smart decisions.
Didn't rogers get kicked out?
they don't get paid year round, they get paid in season, getting 17 paychecks a year.
yeah but he's still their most talented guy and he's eligible for the draft I thought.
Sims is NOT a great blocker especially for his size he's average at best. Have you ever paid attention to our run blocking.
Here is the write up on sims from ESPN draft central he's ranked the #4 TE prospect in the upcoming draft and 73rd over all right now.

Dion Sims no longer listed among MSU players or TE's. I assume this is a good sign?
