This thing is back.
Make your NCAA picks without knowing the teams' real identities. You'll receive a real, finished bracket to enter in the WSJ's contest.
At first glance, I thought one of the mascots was "Fleshlights"
This would be SO much better if they didn't go down the seedline. I know most of the bracket already, so it isn't hard.
Go Boarding Passes!
Its too easy to figure out who the teams are . . .
I had IU over Gonzaga. Gross.
Didn't realize I picked Georgetown to win a few games. I'm disappointed in myself.
Calmer than you are
MSU over Miami!
St. Louis over Florida
Michigan State Ohio State Florida Indiana Final Four. MSU over Florida.
Basically went with Defense win's championships and ended up with Duke, Gonzaga, Florida, and Indiana. Problem with that being that Gonzaga and Florida's Defensive numbers are inflated in this because of week competition. They needed a competition line in there to offset some of the numbers they used.
A Spartan Today, A SPARTAN FOREVER. Through thick and thin, low and high water I strive to be the best Spartan ever.
This is definitely true. It didn't help that the description for Michigan State said, "Noted for toughness and rebounding" or something similar. Of course I had them winning it all. It is still a fun concept and exercise.

Weird, so did I.
My Final Four is Duke, Gonzaga, Florida and Indiana.
I tried to not pay attention to seeding after the first round.
MSU, KSU, Indiana, and Florida with MSU over Florida
Turns out we beat Kansas. Who knew?
Just finished and already regret not knowing I was picking UNLV.
Michigan State, Ohio State, Kansas, and Miami.
MSU over Kansas in final.

Picked MSU over IU in the NCG
For the love of Trevor...™
You went with defense and picked IU and Duke?
The blind bracket exercise would be PERFECT if they randomly shuffled the teams (i.e. you do Okie state versus whoever then UF vs NWSt) and they didn't give you seeds.
Same here, which is what I have on my actual bracket. It was 3/4 on my Final Four.
"This was a great Spartan day." --Walter Adams
Before you ask, yes, I am a girl.
Love this. Had MSU beating Miami!
It wasn't purely Defense, but ties went to the better Defensive team. Both IU and Duke have good Ds according to WSJ
The problem with this is that I don't think the way WSJ ranks teams in terms of defense/offense/etc is all that great.
Reading the descriptions gave away the teams too easily, so I just started picking based on the skill set they provided, sometimes picking an upset.
Both times had Florida in the championship game. Once beating Gonzaga and once losing to Duke. Also had St. Louis in the FF.
Crap MSU loses to Louisville. Lucky I pick my brackets differently because, once again I have MSU winning it all.
