So I take my daughter to father daughter girl scout bowling. Our team name is of course the Spartans... One of the guys we're bowling with is this dude with jean shorts and F'oakleys on his head, so I am thinking here we go.....
My buddy comes over and makes some crack about how I am bowling for MI and the walmart wolvie puts two and two together (amazingly) and says, oh, your from State, I can't bowl with you (ha ha) go blue, I'm from Milford and MSU sucks.
I'm thinking to myself, are you fucking kidding me? At a bowling alley in Petaluma California I have to deal with this white trash piece of shit.... Anyway, I say yes, I have my undergrad and graduate school degree from MSU, where did you go to college? His response was some sort of mumble bs about I went to eastern but didn't finish.... So I looked at him deadpan with a serious look on my face and said are you really giving me this shit 3K miles from MI when you didn't even finish college. He had nothing to say and did not say another word to me the rest of the time.
I know, cool story bro, but it seriously pisses me off when I meet these douche bags that will be asking me for a fucking job next month...

The world needs garbage men, you should remember to thank him for all he does
I was in the Lansing area today. It was awesome seeing all the Spartan gear. Ran into Menards on Saginaw and saw this old Walvarine lady all decked out in Michigan crap. I almost had to say something, but held my tongue.
You should have just paid him for the shoe rental and moved on with the game.
So the guy was just joking around and you threw him under the bus at a father-daughter bowling tournament?
Sorry, but when a dbag fan says, "MSU sucks..." one tends not to see the humor in it. Especially one who never made it through any school to begin with.
I could understand if it happened once in a while. But this just doesn't happen once in a while. It happens a lot to our alumni by your piece of sh!t fanbase. Whether you like to admit it or not is entirely up to you. But I'm gonna guess, like most chUMps, that you won't admit it.

This. My hatred for SCum comes mostly from d-bag "fans" saying shit to me when I am minding my own business and sporting my green and white. Saying "State sucks" is not playful joking, it is rude and BS.
It has happened to me way too many times to count. Lately I have been responding with loud laughter and a "Big Ten Champs" or "4 in a row". They never have a comeback after that.
There's a time and a place for everything and it's called college.
I would've punched him in that dirty mouth, go out to my car, grab some green spray paint and spell out MSU on those cool jean shorts. As I walk out I would whisper "Santa is fake" in his daughters ear.
I was wearing my MSU t shirt in a DFAC in Bagram, Afghanistan when one of the soldiers yells "Go Blue" at me. I ignored him.
However, I got to watch the UM/MSU FB game at the PAX there last year. Lots of soldiers waiting for flights were also watching. I must confess I was extremely obnoxious but that was in the heat of the moment during a game.
The UM rep is still strong among the average FB fan. The soldier next to me was from the south. He kept saying he was surprised MSU was winning. I asked him why since MSU curb stomped UM the three preceding games. He didn't respond but many casual fans who don't watch the B10 games regularly assume UM is always going to win.
I don't yell things at complete strangers I see on the street merely cause they happen to be wearing UM gear. I try to act like an adult. During a game is different.

Συν ται η επι ται! Syn tai e epi tai! Ή ταν ή επί τας! E tan i epi tas!
Other than at a game, I've never had anyone seriously attack MSU.
I've had the occasional "Go Blue"...but always with a smile on the face.
I would have shot him.
...just to watch him die?
I'll preface by saying I live downriver. Sport something with the only colors more often than not. I have never commented to a complete stranger on their choice of attire. Unfortunately I cannot say the same about the mouth breathing entitled fanbase of the school in AA.
Typically, I will have to deal with some type of unwarranted idiocy from complete strangers sporting the piss almost daily. The same people who could not find that shithole campus in a taxi with a GPS. Fuk em all. I could give literally hundreds of examples of annoying and rude comments, actions, and irritants by the functional mongoloids in this area. Their fanbase is why a vast majority of us detest their teams and wish them ill.
Since light travels faster than sound, people appear bright until you hear them speak.
This is like living in a toilet and complaining about always getting pissed on.
u mad bro?YES they are everywhere which is why they are common douchebags and we are Spartans. Alas, I can't blame you for popping your cork as it does get old after awhile. Next time just kick him in the sack and save your breath.
It isn't "joking around" when a Walmart LOSER calls out our GREAT and BELOVED school by saying it "sucks." Do you know how to interpret what you read?
Living in Macomb County, the Walverinitis is strong here. I ran into the same dickhead twice. Once before the YSU game last fall, and the last time before the basketabll tournament. Both times he approached me out of the blue. What kind of insecure asshole approaches complete strangers and talks smack in a grocery store?
I was at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait for last year's MSU/UM game and walked all over base for a TV that had the game on. When I finally found one, the room was full of Michigan fans and they immediately booed me as I walked in wearing a Big Ten champs sweatshirt. They were talking a lot of crap for a while, but obviously that came to an end rather quickly, and most left shortly after halftime.
On a side note, I had to share an office with a Walverine when I was working there... Yeah, even across the world, Spartans have to deal with this crap.

If he said "msu sucks" hes getting owned. If he had smiled and said "go blue" or "I'm a Um fan", no blood. If you open a comversation with a complete stranger by insulting their alma mater, you deserver whateverbis coming to and perhaps tour kid getting to witness will teach them a life lesson.
It seems like the asinine comments from the walmart fanbase come when it's least expected. I wear MSU hoodies and pullovers so often, sometimes I forget I'm representing the only colors. Then I'm reminded with an ignorant jab from a scum fan. I have never (outside of a tailgate) thought about giving someone the business for sporting their school colors.
The hierarchy of Gods and clods.
You're in college. The window of opportunity to drink and do drugs and take advantage of young girls is getting smaller by the day.
Totally agree with this.
Just tell them next time they bag your groceries that you want paper, not plastic and to quit fucking it up.
You're right, he should have ignored the "MSU sucks" part and complimented him on the outstanding and exciting sugar bowl.
WTF is wrong with um people? They really only get one part of the story and don't realize they're selectively doing that. Jebus
