saying good teams overcome bad officiating
It's tough when one of the atrocious calls occur with 20 seconds left in the game. That doesn't leave a lot of time for recovery.
It's sort of like recovering from Valverde melting down in the 9th.
Oh and by the way they are still bitching about losing a Rose Bowl on the bad call that happened in the 1st half of the game 40 years ago.

Oh that's rich!
Good people overcome the trailer park, but look at 2/3 of UM's fanbase.
Not defending their hypocrisy or intended message, but those two hackjobs were eerily similar. I couldn't believe I had to watch two absurdly fixed games in as many days. Luckily the Steelers had enough time to overcome that bullshit, and I will say it was incredibly cathartic to watch a team be able to shove it in the league's face after getting screwed over.
Of course they say that, they managed to win by two because of the officiating against msu. The no PI call on burbridge and the gift 1St down spot to denard were just as bad as those job calls yesterday.

all we had to do is get a stop on 4th and 9
officials sucked, but our D has to get a stop there.
"Put your mother in a straight-jacket you punk ass white boy." ~ Mike Tyson
This line is so tired and so bullshit. You say the defense needed to step up and make a play? Well, they did. Twice.
Yes, yes. I remember hearing Frank Beckmann's radio call at the end of the 2001 game, when he said, "This loss is on The Wolverines. Good teams overcome bad officiating."
EDIT: Oops, that's not right!
Fuck them. If we had to lose, I'm glad it was to a team that can keep those dickbags out of the Rose Bowl.
tRCMB - Visit at your own risk of being disgusted.
Nebraska will have a huge backing from Spartans now. I'm pretty sure we all want those assclowns to cry as Nebraska heads to Indy. Go Huskers!
There's a time and a place for everything and it's called college.
Yep no more about the trip in the end zone and .01 game anymore.
Shoot, have they all forgotten how much/long they bitched about the end of their game against Iowa last year?
Funny thing is.... they were right. I saw the end of that Iowa game and agreed with walvies everywhere. They got hosed. And they got hosed at a time that is too late to recover and overcome bad officiating. And they were right about the trip, too, except they all ignore a fumble call that went their way that was worth 7 points earlier in the game. Why remember the trip? It was too late in the game for a good team to recover from.
And whoever said our defense came through - twice - was right too. Our D made the plays, but got hosed. To be fair, if they played a little more contain on Martinez, there wouldn't have been much drama down the stretch.
It was just a mistake;
I didn't mean to let them take away my soul.
Am I too old?
Is it too late?
In a loss by multiple scores, no less.
I agree with this completely.
We are all pissed we let them convert a 4th and 10 near the end of the game. Yet had the Pick-6 stood like it should have, that would have been a moot point.
And if they had stopped Nebraska on the 4th and 10, the pick-6 would have been a moot point.
You can stop whining any day now.
I read the news today, oh boy .. ..
About a lucky man who made the grade
This is always such a stupid concept
We shouldn't have HAD to overcome anything like that.
I AM KIND, SMART, POWERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, TERRIFIC, AND TREMENDOUS
100 yard dash, but one guy gets a sofa put in his lane......"well just run faster and you won't have to worry about it."
You do realize no matter what they were going to get another crack at it right? We were OFFSIDES!
F scUM. I really wanted to beat Nebraska. The fact that we were robbed and their B1G title chances have taken a hit is the silver lining in the loss.
This mindset that "our d needs to make plays" is total BS. They DID. TWICE!!!
That is what is so frustrating not only about the screw job, but these self loathers.
LOL. And here comes the king of the self loathers himself. Front and center to cast blame on MSU and her players. Your act is old Vic.
MSU was screwed. Our defense MADE plays. They made two game changing plays.
The kids you are trying so hard to tear down, made the plays necessary to win that game.
But the officials that you are trying so hard to defend, dropped the ball.
I want to say that MSU got screwed just as hard as the replacement officials screwed the Packers in Seattle. Just an outside observer could see the refs in both instances did not have a clue.
Disagree. The Packers refs didn't have a clue, the ones on Saturday knew exactly what they were doing
