@DW75_: Just talked to Coach Dantonio from #MichiganState #Spartans. Denzel Ward.
Everyone knows that. People just don't like Urban Meyer.
I don't think it qualifies as poaching unless they actually switch?
well we at least ATTEMPT to poach.
I had difficulty accepting this fact because the previous attitude of myself and most of this board was one of disgust for poaching recruits, but it's part of the game now. In the arms race of college football, one can never be complacent with recruiting kids who are open while other schools are talking to the kids who have given verbals, possibly to your school. Adapt or die.
Where does that say Dantonio is trying to flip him? It says he talked with Coach D, which could mean just about anything.
we've been trying to poach recruits committed to Wisconsin, Florida, and UNC all year.
Yeah. I think fatboy was angry meyer would even try it. Even then some badger fans thought he was being a bit hypocritical. But we went with it because we hate Meyer too.
Dantonio is quoted as saying the only way they will chat with committed players, is if the players approach them. There is a line of decorum. With Meyer and Hoke, if you haven't signed, you are free game. Shit, Meyer has been known to show up at a 5 stars' high school ,and while hiding under the table, he tries to sneak his contract over the school of choices' contract. He's so cute when he's desperate.

This. Plenty of people on this board disliked Meyer well before he got to O$U.
tRCMB - Visit at your own risk of being disgusted.
Seriously? you honestly believe that? what about the OSU commit that msu offered last week.
Dickrod: "he could be offering him, uh, idk, uhhhh, a ride home? YEAH THAT'S IT"
At this point I don't give a shit anymore. Its dog eat dog these days, so adapt or die.
Which Denzel Ward? The one committed to UM or the one that has us and 7 other schools in the running?
ATTEMPT TO POACH
I hope this isn't true anymore. I know that was the approach in the past, but it's so damn outdated that it should be scrapped ASAP if it hasn't been already. Every recruit should be a target right up until NSD.

If kids are enabled to the point that their word doesn't mean shit, then this is going to be a bigger problem in more ways than one.
The NCAA could be proactive and put a regulatory team in place that can take committments from players; and a specific set of rules that would ALLOW them to change or be poached-like a change in coaching; family health issues(the Arnett clause); very specific reasons. If its just because of a dickhead hardselling, like Meyer, the player must stick with original committment, and the coach who is attempting to poach loses a sholarship......for each infraction. And once the deadbeat coach gets busted 5 times over a 3 year period, he not only loses the scholies, but he sends a check for $1 million dollars divided evenly to the universities that he poached against. This is taken out of his wifes' account.
This is about as likely as a gHost story.
On signing day, keep watching under the tables. He is probably doing something else.........to sway a late change.
Come on dude.....
Desperate..... OSU just went 12-0..
Some people on here make MSU fans look very bad. It's disheartening.
Probably just trying to let Denzel know it's his turn on Words with Friends
Survival of the fittest these days. Every man (team) for themselves.
A quick google search shows that it's the one committed to UofM, the same one who is also still interested in looking around. Don't know if that would really be considered poaching if the kid is still taking visits and wavering in his commitment.
But it's poaching when it's Drake Harris? or Se'von Pittman? They were both obviously "wavering in their commitment" enough to commit somewhere else.
